Dr. Sergio Alberto Yero, MD

I see Caroline Murry who is a psychiatric nurse practitoner who works with Dr. Yero. I cannot say enough about them, they worked hard to help me with great success! The entire staff are really nice and helpful!

Dr. Yero has been very companionate and good doctor to me , I have been his patient for over 5 years, when I started going to him I had financial hardship and he was kind enough to see me for a reduce fee to the point that sometimes he will see me for free when i did not have the money. He has provide me as well with a direct phone number where I could reach him if I ever need him. I have never met any doctor so generous and good as Dr. Yero. I was diagnosed with severe depression and Dr. Yero had helped me tremendously to improved my quality of life not just as a psychiatric but as a human being. I had always gotten the best attention from the staff members who work in his office. I will categorize them all as very professional and caring people. I had also had the experience of being seen by other physicians there in some cases when Dr. Yero has been out of the country and I will recommend anybody who needs good quality mental health to go to this practice since you will be in… really good hands by any of the physicians or staff members of Advanced Psychiatric Associates.

I'm extremely happy I found Dr Yero. I was extremely lost, and helpless with all my medical conditions and personal problems, I was severe depressed for months. My primary doctor referred me to him and he told me amazing things about Dr Yero. When I called the office, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Even though Dr Yero was not taking new patients at the moment, they were able to take my message and bring my situation to him, and ended up calling me back to schedule an appt with him. After seen him for the first time, I can't really put words to the amazing session I had. He is a very compassionate doctor, that understand my problem and validated my feelings. He adjusted most of my medications and I started feeling much better a couple of days later. I have a lot of hope that someday I will get better, and even though I know I have a chronic condition, I can see a light at the end of this tunnel. Thank you Dr Yero for being there for me.

He’s a condescending, demeaning, judgmental, privileged man with no understanding of CPTSD or abuse and the anxiety (or responses) that stem from traumas. Unfortunately he didn't seem to have a genuine understanding of several issues he claims to treat with medications... That’s all he’s able to do and he did that poorly. He certainly wasn’t willing to offer kind words or advice. His words can be very harsh when they’re not cruel and entirely *negligent. He was dismissive of my chronic health conditions and previous seizures. He ignored medical records and pharmacy records as well as my previous doctor’s wishes. He had access to all of this information and to other doctors who treated me which he willfully ignored because he’s arrogant. I found no kindness or compassion here for the 8-12 months I was his patient. I didn’t report his negligent behavior but I hope this will deter someone in a vulnerable place from seeking any help from this self obsessed brat who is more interested… in taking selfies and talking about his vacations. His office was poorly run with very young staff members that changed frequently. Several told me they couldn’t keep on top of things and admittedly made mistakes for which I always understood. Every time I had my appointment I paid in full directly to Dr. Yero in *private. I was told to wait to be called into his “administrative office” where yet a different person would claim I had a balance / owed more money. That was never the case. I saved all financial records yet they continued to try to pressure me into giving them more money after I paid. It was quite sketchy and stressful. Dr. Yero lied to them about my payments as well as my medications. What was he doing with my cash and checks and prescriptions he told them he wrote me but absolutely did not? Why would the doctor request all payments be made directly to him in private only to sick his young “administrative” boys onto me? I came in for my appointments on time. {Sometimes I arrived a bit early like a dumb dog who’s conditioned to come back for more abuse.} He took a lot of male patients with appointments scheduled AFTER mine before me even though they’d arrive much later than I would. I’ve sat in his waiting room for hours (over 3 easily) making no complaints while watching him spend more time with these patients then he ever spent with me. Now I know better but when will he realize that that artless blown up (poor quality print) of his little dog is so tacky?

we need more doctors like Dr. Yero. He is really good of what he does. he has a good team in his office

The best part about meeting Dr. Yero was that I actually got better and have been the best from what I can remember. My diagnosis got the worst of me but Dr. Yero brought the best of me. After months of being his patient, I can not see anyone else. He is what everyone describes him to be, kind, brilliant, intelligent, caring, and most of all, his compassion to his care for me deserves the utmost respect. And when I Saw one of his Nurse Practitioners, Mylene Alberto, she resonates the same practice, compassion, and intelligence as Dr. Yero described her to be. I'm so happy to call them my doctors.

Dr. Yero and his staff have been the most accommodating, brilliant, pleasant, professionals I have seen as a patient. I have been exposed to multiple offices, and been to a couple of psychiatrists and therapists but thus far, his professionalism, his intelligence, the other providers, and especially the front desk staff have been the most kind, considerate, amazing staffs I have had an encounter with.

I got sick after having 8 months clean, I had to have five Operations and put on Medications could not take after I left the hospital and the doctors did nothing to help me get off them and was basically left in the blind. I was in legal trouble at the time and if I would've went out and got high I would have went to jail for about 10 years. I call Dr. Yero office and it was the only place who would see right away and thanks to him I been clean now almost four years.

Dr. Yero is extremely bright; he is an excellent diagnostician and psychopharmacologist. His kind, gentle and positive manner help his patients make amazing progress.
