Dr. Seth Thomas Billiodeaux, MD

Never got to see the Dr. until he was gabbing my in my back without warning, after he left me on the table with my back exposed while he took a phone call about his plumbing. Never said a word to me. He sure needs to work on his bed side manners.

After Dr. Billiodeaux started the procedure, I informed him that I had no anesthesia, I was feeling everything, he told the anesthetist to "hit me again" with another dose of anesthesia, but he continued saying that he was almost done. I was crying because I was in so much pain, and his remark was "it can't be that bad." He was running patients through like cattle and was behind so he was in a hurry. He also hit the spinal cord with the needle which made my arms jump and feel like they had been blown off. After finishing, it was discovered that the IV had blown and all of the medication was going out into the tissue surrounding it. My arm was swollen twice its normal size. I was nauseated by the time I got to my car and vomited for a solid 7 hours after I got home. Worst experience ever! Never again!! I have had Cervical Steroid Injections twice before by another doctor who has since retired and they went extremely well.

Very professional, staff is awesome. Dr Billiodeaux gets to the stem of the problem and recommends and talks about treatment. Highly satisfied with him.

I've spent years seeing doctors for treatment of a condition that has caused numerous other medical complications over time. These co-infectious conditions have caused significant damage particularly to my spine, and as a result I experience extreme pain in several places within my body. I usually go to doctors in Houston, but traveling is sometimes inconvenient and can exacerbate the pain that I already deal with on a daily basis. Realizing this, my Neurologist in Houston attempted to save me time and discomfort by locating a pain specialist near my home. As a result, an appointment was made to see Dr. Seth Billiodeaux at Memorial Medical Center in Lake Charles, LA. I waited an hour and fifteen minutes in the exam room before Seth came in, and when he entered the room there was an immediate sense of arrogance and condescension to an extent that I have never experienced with another doctor in my life. I felt a complete sense of intimidation and was virtually incapable of telling him… the reason that I was sent to him. He did not examine me at all and his utter lack of concern was completely disconcerting to me. My doctor in Houston had sent him information well in advance pertaining to my condition, but Seth behaved as though he had barely gone over the information or possibly did not have the experience necessary to fully understand the extensive lab work and medical testing that had been performed at a well respected facility in Houston. The minimal amount of information that Seth was capable of comprehending may have been somewhat overwhelming to him and therefore was regarded as being completely irrelevant . At one point he asked me if just needed him for refills, which I assumed was an accusation that I was in his office merely to get pain medication. On the contrary, I was there seeking relief from the torture I have dealt with for so many years, however, at this point I was so completely humiliated by his malicious and condescending accusations that I became a stuttering mess stumbling over my every word. Knowing that I had waited weeks for this appointment only to have my intentions questioned and my character besmirched by someone who took an oath to "do no harm" was indeed a discouraging and disheartening revelation. Needless to say, I gathered my things and walked out of that exam room in tears. This survey asked if I would recommend this doctor to a friend or family member. In a word "NO".

I had a favorable experience with Dr Billiodeaux. He was genuine and caring and my pain management has improvement under his care.

The most uncaring and arrogant Doctor I have ever seen. He mostly stared at his laptop. I couldn't get out of there fast enough!!!
