Dr. Seth David Feltheimer, MD

PA messed up three times in two visits: gave the wrong patient name to bloodwork nurses, forgot to order a bloodwork sample, and did not place an order for a prescription.

The workers that work for Dr. Feltheimer are rude and have a major attitude. Would go somewhere else not worth the headache and frustration.

This doctor runs a scam wherein he butters you up on your first visit then ignores you after you return. I was practically falling over from bronchitis and had to beg the PA over the phone who tries to diagnose me.. on the phone.. when I was in the room he skulked in and said “ yea.. what is it” THIS WAS MY SECOND VISIT. Omg he’s horrendous and the good reviews have got to be fake or friends. AVOID

Dr. Feltheimer is a smart doctor and man who knows the right doctors to recommend referrals to his patients to see for their medical ailments. He also ensures the patients he sees has the best quality of life they can have for their own self-determination by allowing them to make their own choices. Dr. Feltheimer will also be very upfront and when contacted from one of his patients will almost immediately respond whether it is a false alarm or an urgent matter requiring medical attention. Although he is an internist, he tries to make sure he sees all his patients annually for physicals because he wants each patient to maintain their best quality of life that makes sense for the individual patient. He has treated me for several conditions and has always been very helpful. Dr. Feltheimer is such an open minded person in his own neurotribe (there are many neurotribes in the human race), that this doctor understands the essence of embracing vulnerability because he does himself. He… understands it's the patient's choice, and the fact is he will lay out what each patient needs to think about before making their own decisions. He knows how to use humor positively as well for his patients to be able to not be too serious. A patient making the right choices about their medical treatments to maintain the quality of life is so important for any patient's desires for their life. He expresses his joy when a patient succeeds in deciding for themselves what best fits them. Dr. Feltheimer is a one in a million doctor who will do everything he can for his patients even when being contacted by his patients whether it is for urgent matters or not. Everyone should know Dr. Seth Feltheimer!

My mom an I were his patients for more than 5 years. He is not a very friendly doctor at all and the only advantage is that he will refer you to every specialist possible. I am a doctor myself and his physical examination is superficial (once in a while he does a rectal examination). Rievka the PA on the other hand is nice and thorough. His staff sometimes is friendly and sometimes is incredibly rude and it is the main reason why we decided to never go back. Overall, not worth it. There are better options out there.

Although I had checked this doctor everywhere possible before making an appointment, I was surprised by the following: (1) Apparently, patients typically see his "physician assistant" instead of him after the initial visit. (2) There seems to be no backup medical service other than an emergency room should there by a medical issue outside normal office hours. (3) The office sets up medical tests, routine and otherwise, without checking the patient's CUMC file, potentially duplicating tests done in the prior two or three months. The doctor's preliminary interview seemed thorough, and he did provide useful information; so he does seem like a great doctor, consistent with the reviews. Nevertheless, full disclosure about how the medical practice operates should be available before a new patient arrives for a initial visit, AND it would be desirable for the division of labor to include a review of the patient's CUMC medical records and/or the patient's intake questionnaire.

A close friend recommended Dr. Seth Feltheimer to me. My friend, Paul, is a very smart and knowledgeable person so I made the appointment. I am in the middle of year of serious medical issues and really needed a first-rate doctor. I have one now. Too many details to write here - I'll just say that the first thing I noticed, so important, is the Dr. Feltheimer really listens. He assessed very accurately, made excellent suggestions and referrals, and I'm getting the help I've needed. Adding greatly to his office is his nurse practitioner, Rivkah Moskowitz. She has also been a great help to getting me back on the road to health. I recommend them without reservation.

I've been Dr. Feltheimers pt for 10 years now and he is the best that NYC has. This doctor will find the reason why your sick, his staff is amazing and makes you feel at home. I hope he never retires.

He is the most amazing doctor! There aren't many like him anymore...while most doctors now rely on tests he actually takes time to try and figure out what is wrong...he saved my life and I have only amazing things to say about him

Seth Feltheimer is a wonderful doctor. He has taken care of me as a patient, my friends and my patients for years. Every doctor is not for every patient but I know that I am in the best hands when I see him and assure you that you will get the same wonderful care.
