HES BEEN TREATING MY BROTHER FOR YEARS. WHO HAS HAD ADDICTION ISSUES FOR OVER 40 YRS. SUPPLIES HIM WITH ADDICTIVE DRUGS TO THE POINT HE BARELY FUNCTIONS. ALSO DIAGNOSED HIM AS BI POLAR, MANIC, BLAH BLAH BLAH. HES A GP NOT A PSYCHIATRIST.

Dr. Ivins did not take the time to get to know my history or listen to me. His bedside manner was horrible. He wanted to push some expensive medication down my throat despite my concerns. Total waste of my time and my money. I will never return to his office. He was very arrogant and a know it all and put down other medical professionals in Delaware. I was hoping to get help and answers and I left more frustrated and angry. Now back to funding another Dr. to help me

Dr Ivins has always been ahead of the curve with updated treatment options and advances in his field. If you're looking for a medical provider that shows genuine interest and takes the time to listen, treats the whole person and not just a symptom, he's still among the best in DE. I've been with him for many years and I speak from experience. It's hard to find a dedicated medical provider that isn't owned by restrictive insurance practices - most of us know how the medical profession has battled to offer patients the care they need when insurance adjusters interfere. Dr, Ivins finds a way in spite of the challenges. I'm very fortunate and want others to know about him

My child had opiate issues. We went to try to get them into a suboxone regime. During the intake exam, Dr. Ivins was extremely arrogant and brusque. I could understand how that may have been the best way to deal with addicts, a tough love attitude, so I said nothing. He scheduled them for an early morning appointment to start the drug which we were unable to make. We called ahead of time. My child simply wasn't truly ready yet. He ended up billing my child for $400. With everything we were dealing with, it was not helpful but actually quite harmful. It added a lot of stress to an already toxic situation. My child has now been off the drugs now for more than 3 years, thank God, but it's certainly .no thanks to anything this doctor did. It's all about the money.

Very caring and compassionate, had been his loyal patient for 25 years, he always had time to talk with me about absolutely anything I felt concerned about, I just tried to make an appointment with him after being away for 17 more years but unfortunately I was told he wasn't taking any new suboxone patients, which is what i will need

He has been my DR. for over 19 years And has kept me alive. I am now 88 years old.

Extremely Rude along with employees

Dr. Ivins is an extremely rude and obnoxious. He fancies himself as a Psychiatric genius which he quite often reminds you. It seems to me he has esteem issues and is very insecure. He also gives me the impression that he tries very hard to impart on you that he's more of what he wants to be then he actually is. He will explode if you do not agree with him. One of his retorts is that he does many speaking engagements and is an expert on every type of medication. A simple Google search shows no mention of any speaking events, or even recognition by his peers for his self-proclaimed "expertise". He is not even a certified Psychiatrist. Also looking at his educational background, he graduated from some obscure university in Italy. His office facilities are not impressive. His cliental seem to be more of a lower socioeconomic status with substance abuse issues (I don't mean this to offensive to the patients). I would highly recommend that you avoid this man.

Dr. Ivins has been my doctor for over ten years. I feel comfortable in his diagnosis and knows my history and issues without havingf to check my file. I also feel very comfortable discussing any issues with him, which i didn't with my previous doctors.

Staff is friendly. Facilities are good - much better than previous location. Dr Ivins is friendly and professional. I don't have many problems so when I do see him it's usually just a check-up. I am surprised that when I go for a physical he just does a blood test, listens to my heart, checks blood pressure, and gives me an ekg. He doesn't really check me all over like my previous doc.
