Good surgeon who lacks bedside manners. Really condescending

It was one of the worst experiences ever seeing a doctor. He just will not listen to you, will give a generic reply and a bogus one size fits all diagnosis. He’ll be in his own little world through the appointment, you will in and out in 10 min max or less. Waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor, Look for a more caring and knowledgeable ENT Dr before seeing him.

Refuses to see patients with vertigo/dizziness (or so I was told by whomever scheduled one of my appts) and doesn't give quite as much time as he should. The last straw was when I had left the house very, very sick to come in for an appt with the Dr, and had gotten badly lost (it had been a year since I had been to the Bethesda location.) I called immediately to explain the 5 min lateness and told them I was right outside their building and on my way up to the office. I was told no. I was informed that the dr had begun "gathering his things" to leave for the day after I had not shown up promptly at 1pm, and that 1pm was his last appt of the day (wow, must be nice!) I explained I was only a few mins late due to being badly lost, and as this was my first-ever offense, could the dr please see me considering we were only talking about a few mins and I was THERE now and very ill? Nope. They told me to reschedule. I understand I was technically a little bit late, but I am chronically ill… and called ahead, and could have used some kindness and consideration. I use a wheelchair--getting to appts isn't easy for me. We're talking about a few mins here. But no. I quit the practice at that point. I understand their point of view but this was rigid and silly. This guy was never very impressive anyway.

I have been seeing Dr. Oringher for years - he always has time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly check things out. I highly recommend him!

Let me just start by saying I would not put myself through the rudeness, lack of consideration, and disrespectdisrespect from the Dr. and Bethesda staff ever again even if someone paid me to go. I was initially given the wrong location for my appointment, as someone who was not driving I was half-hour early. Only to fond due to their mistake I was at the wrong location. I called a cab and took a 20 dollar ride to where the supposed correct location was. When I arrived they said he could not see me. I mentioned that the mistake was on the company/ appointment setter as I called to confirm days prior and was told Chevy Chase. After the far from professional front desk staff talked about me on front of my face I chose to have a seat and wait. The Dr. Came out 45min later saying I was wrong! He claimed to having been there when a call was placed to me giving location. With out giving me a chance to respond or acknowledge, he said "No reason to go back and forth" and walked away. So… conveniently they do not have my message recorded, or the conversation that took place with any of the appointment setting staff. What this tells me is the message you hear when calling saying "This callay be monitored or recorded..." Is a load of crap, as I would have given them permission for play back. My other question is if staff is so reliable and on point why does the Dr. need to be present for calls setting appointments? Could it be because mistakes like thisone are often made? But as far as the Dr.s office is concerned, so what if we messed up, your time does not matter come back another day. We can't help you right now, because of our incompetence. This is NOT how you treat ppl, much less a patient. I can promise you I won't be back. I am also highly disappointed in the Dr.s attitude about the situation.

Dr. Oringher came highly recommended and after my surgery I can see why. I never had to wait more than 5-10minutes in the waiting room and he took his time to answer any questions I had. My surgery went incredibly well and recovery even better. Surgery is a very serious consideration in a persons life and you want to make sure you choose the very best.

I was so disappointed in my visit to this practice..The waiting room was packed. I waited over an hour for him to see me, and then he couldnt take the time to listen to my symptoms! He only cared about getting in and out of the room quickly. Total mis diagnosis.
