Dr. Seth Armond Schwartz, MD

I received my prenatal care from Dr. Schwartz when I was pregnant with my son in 2014. At my first visit, both him and his staff were average. Not rude but no exceptionally nice either. Didn't bother me though. I had to wait over an hour to be seen, but I gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was a busy day or it was because it was my first visit. A few days later I got a call from them notifying me that my insurance doesn't cover maternity care unless you are over the age of 26. I had zero knowledge of that but was accused by the receptionist I spoke with of trying to trick them into thinking it would work. Instead of taking that as a sign and finding a different doctor, I just got pregnancy Medicaid and stayed there. After that I was treated like the trash they took out every day. All of the staff including Dr. Schwartz was very nasty to me, always accused me of lying, and would never legitimize any of my concerns or questions. I ended up in the hospital at 7 months pregnant… going into preterm labor, had a UTI so prolonged that I was borderline septic, I was dangerously anemic, and had dangerously high blood pressure. He never showed up at the hospital even after being called numerous times and whenever I went to my follow up with him, was borderline cussed out for going to the hospital. It also turned out that all of my urine and bloodwork I had done at the office clearly showed my problems for weeks but I was never told or treated. Whenever I had my son it was spontaneous which made Dr. Schwartz angry because it wasn't planned around his schedule so my family and myself were talked to like complete dogs and yelled at numerous times for even asking the simplest of questions. The nurses at the hospital were even apologizing to us for how we were being treated. I had a placental abruption and lost over half of my blood but he refused to clear a blood transfusion and left. I walked around for months after that like a zombie while my body tried to get my blood count back up. I didn't see him again until my postpartum appointment (only 6 weeks later) and neither him or his staff had a clue who I was. I went to him my entire pregnancy, he had just delivered my son 6 weeks prior, and he didn't even have the slightest clue who I was even after looking at my medical records. I now have a string of health issues that came from poor prenatal care and then excessive blood loss. Needless to say, I haven't been back to him since and wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. If you've had good experiences with him, then good for you because I must've been treated by his evil twin.

Dr. Schwartz is the worst doctor I've ever been to in my entire life. I was referred to him by a free pregnancy clinic when I first found out I was pregnant (that should tell you something to begin with). Being young and naive and a first time mother, I went to him without doing any research. I had to wait close to an hour at my first appointment just to even be called back from the waiting and he spent maybe 5 minutes total with me. His nurse had to call me back the next day to even verify how far along I was because he never asked. I continued to go to him though. The wait time was horrendous every time I went to my appointment (and I've been to a lot of doctor's in my lifetime) and I never once got an "I'm sorry for the wait" or even a courteous smile. Dr. Schwartz never even learned my name or even recognized my face whenever he would come in to examine me. Any concerns that I had he completely dismissed and I only even had one ultrasound during my entire pregnancy and that was… just to determine the sex of my baby. When I was 7 months pregnant I went to the hospital (after trying to call him numerous times on his "24/7" phone number with no answer or call back) and was going into preterm labor, had dangerously high blood pressure, was dangerously anemic, completely nutrient deficent, and had such a severe UTI and Kidney infection that I was borderline septic. All of which excluding going into preterm labor was put into his notes months prior (the hospital could access them) but I was never told or treated for any of it. To make matters even worse, when I went to my follow up with him, instead of apologizing for not answering his phone and checking on me and apologizing for never telling me or doing a treatment plan for any of my issues, he chose to rip me apart for going to the hospital without talking to him first. Whenever I tried to explain to him that I tried to get in touch with him multiple times and clearly it was very neccesary for me to go and I was glad that I did; he then yelled at me and told me if I ever did that again I would be kicked out of his practice. Unbelievable, right? Well, it gets even better! The day I went into labor was a few days before my due date, so it was a spontaneous birth as they call it. Whenever I called him to tell him that I thought I was in labor, he was very rude and told me to meet him at the hospital. I did the best that I could to beat him there, but he lived about 10 minutes away whereas I lived close to 40 minutes away (which he knew). My grandmother got there before me and he literally screamed at her in the middle of the hospital with multiple witnesses watching that it was ridiculous and unheard of that I wasn't there yet. He then stormed out of the hospital. Whenever I got there it took about an hour for a triage nurse to get ahold of him and when she did he said to hospitalize me, that he would be back up there in no more than 30 minutes. 2 hours go by and he was still nowhere to be found. By the time he finally showed up I was already dialated to a 7 and had been in labor for several hours. My heart rate was a 250 and while all the other nurses and the anesthesiologist were very concerned about it, he didn't even acknowledge it. He forced me to have an epidural without my concent. And the only time that I say him after that was literally the last 2 or 3 pushes that I did. He never said a single word to me the entire time he was there and he was very rude to my family and my boyfriend. Giving them dirty looks, arguing with them when they would ask him a question, dismissing their concerns, laughing in their faces when they would ask a question, etc. As soon as my son was born, he stitched me up (I had an episiotomy) turned around and left without a single word to me or my boyfriend. He then ran out the door and never even told our family and friends how it went or that they could go back there. I found out from a nurse later that he was so nasty to all of us because "my labor ruined his plans that he had for that night" she told me those were his words exactly. I later found out from my PCP and my new GYNO that I almost died during labor because I lost an unatural amount of blood and that it was once again noted in the system by him, but nothing was done for it. I should've had a blood transfusion immediately. When I went back to him for my postpartum appointment, neither him or anyone in his staff asked how I was or how my son was. They didn't even remember me and I had just been in there 7 weeks prior. Every single one of them, including Dr. Schwartz, asked if it was my first visit there. When I left after that appointment, I knew I would never go back. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. Him and his staff are nasty, unprofessional people. Rudest people I've ever met and the office is as slow as Christmas. It would be a poor choice for you to go here.

I have been with Dr. Schwartz 5 years, I love him and his staff! I have gone through 2 pregnancies and he has delivered both my kid.

I travel over an hour just to see him. He is always honest with me, and has a plan to cure my problems. Now, I'm trusting him to treat my daughter who he delivered 14 years ago. He is the best!

I have been a patient of dr. Schwartz for 20 years. He has delivered all 3 of my children. He is very knowledgeable and caring.

I've been a patient of his since 1987. I have never had a bad experience. He has always been professional and he is very knowledgeable in his field. Very compassionate, but also to the point. Exactly what I expect in a doctor. I HIGHLY recommend him.

My overall experience with Dr.Schwartz was gret!Even though I did not get the answer I wanted he definitly put it as easy as possible!

Do not go to this Doctor. There is a reason it is so easy to get an appointment with him. I have never been treated so bad in my life. He answered his personal cell phone while doing an inturnal exam on me. 38 weeks pregnant.
