Dr. Shabana Firdous, MD

I would highly recommend her. She was very attentive and caring and had a lot of knowledge about my issue. She answered all my questions and came up with a treatment plan that I understood. I’ve been to one other psychiatrist and thought he was terrible so I didn’t have high hopes seeing Dr. Firdous but I was pleasantly surprised to say the least

TERRIBLE DOCTOR!! My friend was prescribed Klonopin, Tazodone, Zoloft and Lamictal. Using Trazodone together with Zoloft can increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes in blood pressure, increased heart rate, fever, excessive sweating, shivering or shaking, blurred vision, muscle spasm or stiffness, tremor, incoordination, stomach cramp, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Severe cases may result in coma and even death. Please do not go to her. Once my friend was experiencing these interactions, she had to go to the hospital. Dr. Firdous was not available to see her because she was out of the country and her staff was of no help. They told my friend she had to wait until she came back to be seen, there were no other doctors to see her in case of any emergency.

Dr.Firdous is by far, the worst Doctor I've ever come across. She is very suspicious of everyone that walks into her office and will make it known that she trusts no one. She will tell you that tons of her patients call her everyday and ask for more medication and that is the reason she treats everyone as a criminal. She constantly changes her appointments to accommodate her monthly vacations back home to SriLanka or Afghanistan and she is the type of physiatrist that will make you feel awful about yourself so that she could push drugs onto you. I have personally had the worst experience with her and my poor husband has as well. Please don't bother with her, she's useless..

This is the worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. The second time seeing me she didn't have a clue what I was there for or even that she had seen me before and she was so disrespectful and rude. I would NEVER go there. I have NEVER had such a horrible experience in my life.

Dr. Firdous doesn't even deserve 1 star. She is very rude and does not care about her paitents. She dropped me because I started a new job I told her I was switching my next app date. She then told me that I had to find a new doctor. Please I urge everyone to find another group Cheema is no better

I have been seeing her for a few years now. I needed help with opiate addiction and depression. If you express a concern in waiting or have a complaint she will argue that your opinion is not correct, and will not apologize for long wait times. She cancelled her program and gave me a month to find a new doctor because she is going on personal leave. While, a selected few "special" patients get to stay and see another doctor in the same office. She was pretty much pushing me to go see another doctor after ive been her patient for so long. She has no remorse, very insensitive to the fact im going to be left high and dry with no medication.

She is amazing and very respectful. Excellent bed side manners. Very competent.

She diagnosed me right the first time.I had been to other psychiatrists in the past but she is the best.

If you are a good patient, she is a great doctor. She will talk to you about anything and give you help wherever it is needed. She is extremely knowledgeable and is always explaining all options to me.

She diagnosed me accurately and I am happy with the treatment. I recommend her highly.
