Traveling through Sussex County, my family and I stopped at a pizzeria on our way home to Monmouth County. The waiter was a friendly man, who asked if we minded if he sat for a moment, as he was healing from a spinal surgery. He praised his neurosurgeon for helping him. I then asked who his surgeon was, as I was having severe pain from a past surgery. He advised that his surgeon moved to the Jersey Shore. I explained I lived there & we’re just traveling through this area. Well, that’s how I found Dr. Danish, in Neptune. The next day, I called and made an appointment with Dr. Danish. Finding Dr. Danish was a miracle. He corrected another surgeon’s mess. I believe it was truly serendipity that Dr. Danish became my surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Danish. He takes the time to review all imaging closely. He really cares about his patients and listens to all concerns. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Danish. He’s a one of a kind physician! I am so lucky I found him!

Shabbar danish botched my Deep Brain Stimulation surgery and failed to tell me he had never done this surgery on someone with inherited dystonic tremors and inherited dystonia. He put it in my cognitive area instead of my motor cortex thus wiping out 8.5 years of college and 20 years experience as a mental health therapist. Two other DBS team say it is in the wrong place. I had a stroke on his operating table and they did not treat it!

Dr Danish has performed 2 very risky spinal cord surgery to remove 2 rare Meningioma tumors off my spinal cord in 13 months. Only by his gifted and talented abilities am I alive and walking again.

Our daughter was suffering from sudden positional headaches caused by a spontaneous CSF leak. Dr Danish performed a challenging surgery to close the leak in the thoracic area. Before the surgery, CT scans indicated the leak was dorsal and we supposed Dr Danish could perform a suture to close the dura. However Dr Danish found the leak tucked on the right side of the vertebra where suture was not an option. Dr Danish used a muscle graft with fibrin sealant to patch the dura and the results were amazing. We are very grateful that Dr Danish has such a mastering of specific surgery techniques and was able to find the right solution for this particular case. The surgery is a life changing success. Special thanks to Dr Roychowdhury and Dr Friedlander who did all the diagnostics prior to this amazing surgery.

Dr. Danish gave me my life back. He spent time to explain and was very responsive to my questions. The DBS surgery was very successful and I thank Dr. Danish and his team for their skills.

At 21 years old I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, after meeting with 4 neurosurgeons I met with Dr. Danish , and knew instantly he was the surgeon I trusted enough to remove my tumor. Very honest about every thing. Tells you like it is, doesn't sugar coat, and explains in terms you can understand. I had a flawless surgery may of 2013, with out any complications.. While I appreciated being squeezed into his very hectic schedule, I was in disbelief that this was the doctor who I had read about being voted Patients Choice 5 years in a row and was described as being compassionate. While I was more than prepared for this appointment, he didn't belief that the MRI's I had were clear enough, yet never offered to have them done again to get a clearer picture of the spine issue that has been destroying my life for years without me knowing it until recently. Because he had only experienced the problem in my spine one time before, he didn't "believe" that this was the cause of my issues. No exam, no MRI, no investigating, thus leaving me with no hope since he came highly recommended as THE doctor to see. In his defense, all I can say is that after months of suffering trying to find a neurosurgeon who is available & compassionate, I see that there is no such thing. It's sad that I'll probably end up permanently disabled while I wait for a correct diagnosis… and treatment.
