Dr. Shady Sam Shebak, MD

My intake appointment was done with a resident and it was her actual last day, she graduated the day after. She spent 2 hours with me going over EVERYTHING. I felt confident in her change of diagnosis and plan for medication. I was even grateful she included a backup plan in case the new diagnosis was wrong. After that, I saw Dr. Shebak for less than 5 minutes. He agreed to the new diagnosis but changed the medication plan I agreed to. Over the course of that month, I grew increasingly worse. I reached out via phone and online portal twice, including requesting a refill I desperately needed. No answer. My second appointment comes and I am in a full blown manic-panic attack situation. SOBBING. It's supposed to be a video call. He never connects. I end up getting a call from his nurse asking if I'm doing well on his behalf. When I explained I was very much NOT okay, she put me on hold and spoke to Dr. Shebak. She played a game of telephone a few more times before he finally got on the… phone. Again, maybe five minutes. He barely listened to a thing I was saying. I openly admitted to being scared to ask him for more of the medication I needed, and he flat out said he would never give me a month supply. We didn't go over any questions or concerns I had. He didn't give me any time at all. He just hung up after confirming the pharmacy. I will NOT be returning and am currently waiting for my new intake appointment elsewhere.
