My son had a thumb injury from playing soccer. His thumb was bent, swollen and red. So we went to Urgent Care on Sunday morning and they did an X-ray. The doctor came in and told us he read the X-ray and that the thumb was not broken but that my son had a bad sprain. When I asked him why his thumb was bent, he stated that it was probably because it was swollen. So I asked if he could play soccer that day as well. The Dr. said he could but not as a Goal-keeper which is how he injured in the first place. I left the clinic not really confident in the diagnosis so I told my son he wouldn't be playing soccer that day. Then about 30 minutes later, the clinic called and said the radiologist read the x-ray and that my son's thumb was broken and we needed to go see an Orthopedic surgeon. What??? Why did this doctor tell us that his thumb wasn't broken? Why do I pay for this expertise if he is giving the bad information to us? What is the purpose of giving bad information to a patient (and… potentially more detrimental if I had allowed my son to play soccer that day).

Dr. Nisar saw me in the IHA urgent care, and was excellent. He addressed all my concerns, was kind and compassionate, and overall a great practitioner. Dealing with chronic illness is not easy as a patient, especially with a complex case, and I was thrilled to be met with such great care in an urgent care setting. Highly recommend this doctor.
