Dr. Shahrad Radi Shamsi, MD

My wife and I both over 70 years old and did not have Colonoscopy for about 18 years, after I searched the best Gastroenterologists on Internet websites, we decided to let Dr. Shamsi to take care us. We started the appointments for both Colonoscopy and Endoscopy procedures last month, Dr. Shamsi and his nurses did excellent work for us. They all were so friendly and skillful. Doctor explained patiently and in very detail treatment plan to us. He also called us during night time to discuss the labotory tested results. We are so lucky to have him to take care of us. We will let Dr. Shamsi to do the same procedures this afternoon for my 46 years old son. We have 100% confidence and trust to this best qualified doctor.

Dr. Shamsi is a wonderful Doctor. He is prompt, very thorough, and really cares about his patients. He spends alot of quality time with each patient and tries to figure out the best way to take care of the specific problem. He personally calls you back with results of tests and schedules you for follow up visits to check on your health. If you care about your health......then he is the doctor you want......... because he cares too !!

Well trained and excellent physician

My friend had seen Dr. Shamsi and when I told her I was not feeling well despite the tests and medicines my doctor had tried, she suggested I see him as well.After the first visit, and review of all my prior history, he suggested 10 days of antibiotics. I hate antibiotics!I did the regimen and although it was difficult, it worked. He diagnosed me and fixed a problem I had been dealing with for 3 years after one visit.

Dr. Shamsi is a nice enough man, and I have no reason to believe he is not a good doctor. But the problem is that he does not respond very well. He said to call to tell him how I was doing on a particular treatment, and when I did I got the feeling that I was bothering him. I then called over a week ago to try to get an appointment for a colonoscopy and no one has called back. I don't need an appointment right away, of course, but I do feel that I should be called back. It concerns me when the office procedures are such that calls are not returned, whether because of press of business or simply losing track.
