Dr. Arzegar is a crook. I came in with a Groupon. After taking my x-rays, the hygienist did an extremely quick, bare clean. She minimally scraped at my teeth, did not polish them, and only applied flouride because I asked her to. At the end of the whole procedure Dr. Arzegar came in and told me based on my x-rays that I had deadly gum disease, and that I was at risk of a heart attack if I didn't address it right away. He said my teeth were crooked and that I needed Invisalign. All in all, he tried to convince me to undergo at least $1000 worth of treatment. I went to a different clinic and they told me my gums are completely healthy, and did a thorough cleaning that put Dr. Arzegar's clinic to shame. It is wrong for any medical health professional to trick their patients and prey on the asymmetrical information and power balance between the two. Medical practitioners have an ethical duty towards their patients. Dr. Arzegar only cares about duping unsuspecting patients into filling… his pockets.
