Dr. Shahram M Tabib, MD

This man should never have entered a medical profession that required he interface with people, especially people in distress. That he is an ER doc is remarkable but he seems to have difficulty staying in one facility as he seems to have worked at numerous facilities in TX, Fl, and N Carolina. He's now inflicting his poor patient skills on southern California. That United Methodist hospital has hired him is a mystery or lack of judgement. I arrived at the ER by ambulance because I was unable to breath 4 days post cervical surgery. Dr tabib admonished me for coming to his ER when the surgery was done at another facility. He said "you should have surgery close to where you live." The surgery I had was highly complicated neurosurgery that could not have been performed at a local hospital. Regardless when you cant breath the ambulance has to take you to the nearest ER regardless of the cause if your distress. He spoke to me in this way while I had an oxygen mask on my… mouth struggling to breath. He then went on to tell me that anyone who elects this type of complex cervical surgery is asking for problems. He made this judgment having never even asked why I needed the surgery. He was defensive, argumentative, judgemental and for some reason chose this time to air his irration that I had come to his facility as a patient struggling for air. He showed no compassion or concern. He kept mumbling I did what you asked me to do. Frankly I prefer a doctor who does the right thing based on skill, judgement and coordination of treatment with my surgeon who was more than willing to speak with dr tabib.

i don like he's atitute he said the ct skan won't show and thay give me hi dose medicin and iet me outside 1-2am i don remember how i got home i was walk like drank walk 1 hour don't you think it is a shame thank good i still alive

Dr. Shahram Tabib saw me in the emergency room and spend 2 minutes with me, maybe looked at a few test results but still overcharged my insurance company so I have to pay out of pocket. Even the diagnosis is undetermined. So what did he do? Nothing!

This Dr was horrible.He spent most of my agonzining emergency experience eating his dinner. On top of that, after a second visit, his diagnosis was wrong. I did get a hefty bill though, one that amounts to the equivalent to 850.00 an hour. Highly unethical.
