Dr. Shailaja Devi Koppolu, MD

Never in my life have I met or interacted such an amazing human being. Dr. Koppolu was my anesthesiologist through the most terrifying day of my life thus far, my first surgery (albeit a minor surgery, but being my first, she was wonderful). She was patient, sat with me, held my hand, answered every question and never once made me feel silly or inadequate for being so worked up. She treated me like family and made me feel so safe. She went over all my reservations and kept me calm. I highly recommend Dr. Koppolu, because of her and my surgeon Dr. Narain, I’m able to get my life back. I’m forever grateful for her. She touched my heart in so many different ways. She is a doctor that truly cares for her patients and has a passion for her job. You’re in good hands with Dr. Koppolu. I hope I don’t have to have another surgery, but if I do, I hope I’m lucky enough to have her as my anesthesiologist again. Thank you for changing my life.

Dr. Koppolu was so great. She had me in and out of anesthesia quickly and painlessly. She listened and answered my questions patiently. I feel very lucky I had her on my team.

About 5 weeks ago, I had surgery at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Prior to this surgery, I had 4 other surgeries in my life. Dr. Koppolu is by far the best anesthesiologist I have ever experienced. She is the first anesthesiologist to take the time prior to surgery to explain to me what was going to happen from the time I was wheeled into the operating room, during the operation, and afterwards. He caring and compassion, and professionalism, was exemplary. If I ever need another operation, I will ask my surgeon to request, no...demand Dr. Koppolu as the anesthesiologist.
