Dr. Shakil Ahmed, MD

One of the worst doctors, Dr Shakil Ahmed, I've ever had in my 78 years on this planet. Does not listen to anything the patient says, or any family member. Does not provide a written record, disrespects and ignores the patient's questions and concerns, ignores the patient's history. And nonexistent bedside manner. Since he wasn’t able to find anything wrong (all his tests were coming back negative) so he decided it was acid-reflux. When I told him I had never have a issue with acid-reflux, heartburn, etc., etc., in my life. But he’d decide that was what I had, and wrote up a script for an antiacid med. After a trip to my primary doctor and his information (take if I thought I needed them). I’ve kept the meds and they have set on the shelf since. Never want to see this doctor, so may well never go back to the Central Florida Regional Hospital ever again, because of him. No zero stars, so...

One of the finest diagnosticians I've worked with in the past twenty years. A fantastic "listener." Goes beyond the written record, respects the patient's questions and concerns, validates the patient's history and isn't inhibited in his search for answers when they are difficult to come by. Outstanding bedside manner. An excellent communicator.
