Dr. Newcomb is the best. She listens. She's professional. She's caring and knowledgeable. She's everything anyone could need in a family medicine physician.

I started taking my mother to Dr. Newcomb when her old doctor wouldn't change things. My mother was taking alot of medications and not doing well at all. Since the change my mom is walking better and has been able to come off of 5 meds. I now go to her also. So does some of our other family members.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Newcomb for many years. I had worked with her and now see her as a patient. I have seen how she treats the people she works with and her patients. Blessed to have her as a doctor and friend.

Mrs. Newcomb.... You say you listened & diagnosed another from the knowledge...BUT YOUR documentation dictates otherwise I am not nor have I ever been a manipulator & attention seeker What I am is a person who has 3 phases to my life... #1 childhood abuse #2 my 22yr career as a nurse #3 the accident that has ruined my life Would you prefer I always talk about the abuse I survived or losing my identity, lifestyle, livelihood... What made me HAPPY Yes I am critical of medical professionals...WE make the worst patients I chose 1 because my knowledge... and I wanted the best to care for me...thinking that it would give me the BEST chance to recover, rehab, return to my career as a trauma nurse. Understand one thing the only thing I had at the time was my doctors appts. I would hope more pts put physicians in check .. a person knows their body better than the doctor does Unfortunately if a person has of any form of mental illness Medical Professionals all too… often use that against the pt by labeling as you did I. I am NOT DEFINED by my mental illness... Ironically your documentation as well as another residents shows a pattern ...seeking approval of your medical director.. In order to be attention seeking one would set a pattern by constantly seeking medical attention...I DID NOT My mother had often said I became a nurse to take care of myself...because many doctors treated me as a hypochondriac r/t migraines....how does a child fake retch vomiting, thrashing in pain... Anyone ...doctors included that I have worked along side can tell you I OFTEN SAID ...I DO NOT LIKE DOCTORS...yes even the trauma docs would look at me, but they would soon understand WHY...through LISTENING TO MY STORIES I know for a FACT I have saved numerous patients from the doctors caring for them... I know it must be hard to believe a nurse has intelligence too, and as PROFESSIONALS we should be open to another's ideology...no matter their title As medical professionals we SHOULD treat all as individual, w/ respect, dignity and without prejudice And never lie to a patient. Morals & Ethics...and always take ownership for your mistakes Your documentation is soon to come into question...especially one particular visit...one of four visits less than 20 minutes in duration, yet a judgement was formed instantly.... Sadly I believe you as well as other doctor's were upset that my Pharmacist was the one to suspect Understand this I spent 1-1.5 hrs sitting in front of my Pharmacist 4-7 times a month because of the constant changing, adding increasing medication As BLUEGRASS PAIN CONSULTANTS are discovering...this nurse should not be underestimated... A lie can be told a million ways but the truth only one One thing the LCSW @ U of L can tell you...my recall on the events of my visits is uncanning..plus it helps that because of the fact I was being ignored...I decided to record my office visits...ask BPC Dr. Nelson Like I told Sharon..YOU have been my biggest disappointment... once I spoke highly of you UNTIL I read your lies... One thing I noted in my numerous yrs in emergency care...pts are often ignored/discarded based on #1 mental illness #2 pain management patient #3 FEMALES Don't get this wrong...you have a great bedside manner, great personality... what you did was allow someone you held in high regard to form your opinion of me before ever seeing me, and seeking approval you followed suit... The biggest problem with computer charting is we as medical professionals became lackadaisical and all to often (cut,copy&paste) There is one thing good about computer charting...but that you will soon discover

Thank you Dr. Newcomb for listening to me unfortunately the NP & Psychiatrist didn't & I am nearly blind and barely able to walk now & suffer from CRS all because the warning NO NSRI, SSRI or any form of serotonin reuptake was not taken seriously, and I assume now mixed with the opiods continued my deterioration after ACDF repair Now go clone yourself a million times over and TEACH as many as possible to LISTEN to their patients... especially if they are a trauma nurse.... We are not all crazy.... lol...well????!!!
