Shamala Mohanasundaram, MD

Dr. Shamala is an excellent PCP. I had been to other PCPs in the Los Gatos area but could not find a good PCP who would take keen interest in my health and spend time to explain my conditions and provide proper diagnosis. I've been with her for over 5 years and have nothing but good things to say about her. I highly recommend her as a PCP.

I had her as my doctor almost a year until this incident happened. She accused me of asking for additional norco. I had just received a prescription of norco and didn't need any additional medication. I was actually calling her office back since I didnt receive a requested return phone call I had requested on her answering service regarding I was having side effects from newly prescribed blood pressure medication.

I just saw Dr. Shamala for the first time and she takes time with you and listens and makes suggestions and sets expectations which are realistic. Her words to me were like a wise friend explaining what would be best for me. It put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Shamala.

Dr. Shamala listened and answered all my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all. Great bedside manner as well and I even had both of my kids with me and she didn't mind at all.

I have never had a Dr spend as much time getting to know me, asking few questions but gathering information through caring conversation. Dr. Shamala (as she is known, by her first name) is thorough, professional beyond any I've ever met while maintaining a caring but not cloying bedside manner. She is a graduate of an institution outside the US and I'm certain many patients would discount her, as I once might have, if they didnt take the chance to go see her. Thank God I didn't. She is a star in her profession.

Dr. Shamala is great! She's caring, knowledgeable and thorough. You can talk with her easily, there's no standoffish-ness like with other physicians. You'll recommend her, too!

Dr Shamala is very easy to get to know, really listens to her patients and wants to help. Brandi, her office manager, is fantastic, friendly, prompt, and reliable. I'm so fortunate to have found such a wonderful 'small town' doctor in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
