Dr Shameela Anisa Chorny

Dr. Chorny has no patience if you are anxious about visiting a Dr. or your results. She acts annoyed. . After having emergency surgery at Phelps I never heard from her at all. You deserve a much better Doctor who really cares & is sensitive to your needs.

The doctor is very nice and attentive when you’re being examined. However, if you’re sick and need to see her, you’re in trouble. They do not have emergency appointments. You have to wait two months to see her. She does not return phone calls, which is very unethical.

Every time I see Dr Chorny, the experience is always better than the previous. Dr. Chorny is thorough and is excellent at listening to her patients. She always gives me more than ample time and makes me feel like I'm the only one in the office. She is an amazing Dr.

OK, I have seen way too many docs in my life. How could anyone rate Dr. Chorney less than 5 stars? She was fabulous. My first visit with her as my new GP. She took so much time with me as I told her all about my life and what was ailing me. She is an incredible listener and gave me all the time I need. She was thoroughly knowledgeable! Then, she herself called me back (I missed the call) and left a message explaining everything about the results of my blood test and what I need to do. Seriously, what doc does this? A pure diamond in the rough! The visit was in the Tarrytown office.

First visit. Lucy, the biller, entered the wrong procedure codes. Biller refused to hear my explanation and the fact that the receptionist made an honest mistake. Just a 9-5 job for this biller. Paid the bill to move on. After a second bill, Dr Chorny, was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She raised her voice and contradicted herself. I indicated this was upsetting. Complete lack of compassion or comprehension. Insurance offered to rectify and called biller, but again obstinate and refused to make the correction. Stay away. Completely unprofessional and ridiculous since the office gets paid 100% anyways, and insurance was ready to pay if they corrected the procedure codes. The rating is a 0 for Lucy, the biller.
