Dr. Debnath is the best psychiatrist I’ve ever worked with. I’ve treated with him in TMS, then Spravato, and I can finally say I am no longer struggling with depression. He advocated for me and was literally always available if I needed to speak with him. He is passionate about what he does and it shows. I wish more psychiatrists were like him.

I was referred to Dr. Debnath by my therapist to help me get off medications that were ruining my life. I have tried to do it with other psychiatrists but if got me to the point that I was too scared because it was so hard. He was cautious, explained what he was doing and why he was doing it, and gave me hope. He’s bright, passionate, and seems to genuinely care about his patients. It took some time, but I am now off the medications that was I dependent on. I feel normal again.

Dr. Debnath helped me feel normal again! I am so grateful that my local clinic has a good psychiatrist. He put my mind at ease about medications because I very anxious about putting anything into my system. I had been suffering from depression for 2 decades and had some traumatic experiences with meds before. I appreciated the fact that he went slow with me and answered all of my questions, because I had a ton of them. I felt like we were working together, and that made a huge difference.

Dr. Shameer Debnath really spends time understanding your issue(s). He asks a lot of questions and takes a lot of notes which shows he actually cares. He's got a good drive and actually seems excited about his profession which is not the case for most other mental health specialists I have seen. I highly recommend him. - Julien M.

Dr. D has helped me more than anyone else has he actually cares. If he wasn't in New York till January 2018 i would be doing a lot better can't hardly wait for him to come back to California.

Dr. D was the first psychiatrist to ever mention genetic testing to me, which was shocking considering I've been to so many of them over the years. Until that point I felt like a lab rat with medications, mainly because I'm ultra sensitive and get every side effect possible, including the really rare ones. But I stuck with my meds and dealt with all their issues because I thought I was too much of a mess without them. After hearing my history, he said I was an excellent candidate for this testing. He did some kind of swab test, got the results, explained them to me, and then we went through some options. We started moving in a direction that I was comfortable with, mainly because it didn't feel so random. I'm now on a regimen that actually makes me feel good, and I'm not a zombie or obese. I feel like I was given a new life. Thank you Dr. D!

I am thoroughly impressed and learned quite a bit! I appreciate learning about the medication I have to take to maintain a good quality of life. I don't necessarily WANT to be on medication, but after all the trials and tribulations and numerous "rock bottoms", I knew I needed to be on something. I saw Dr. Debnath for a consult in his West LA office. He took my history and spent almost 2 hours with me. I don't remember the last time I was able to give my full history to a doctor. He explained the medication options and exactly what they work on in my brain. It actually made sense. His follow ups are easy, and he spends 15-45 min with me depending on what we need to address. I haven't been this stable in years, and I still have a lot of rebuilding to do, but I am now confident that I can. Thank you Dr. Debnath for taking very good care of me.
