Dr. Shamim Sadiq, MD

I had Dr. Sadiq as a hospitlalist in Decatur. I was very ill, had lost a son & husband was dying when I told her she said she was not there to hold my hand. Never told me I had MRSA I found out thru the staff. It took my mom calling the hospital in order to get help for vomitting & diarhhea. Horrible experience!

After suffering muscle strain of the chest wall area this hospitalist refused to grant my request for a G.I. consult when I returned to the hospital E.R. with symptoms of shock resulting from blood loss. We had to request a second opinion and involvement of the administration to resume blood level testing and get the G.I. consult which resulted in finding 4 ulcers, 1 of which was bleeding. I was admitted for transfusion due to low blood levels, post transfusion results were below average, nursing staff witnessed a very bloody stool and still this hospitalist maintained that there was nothing wrong with my stomach and I was only experiencing muscle strain-that when muscles are severely strained they can emit a small amount of blood and that could account for my low blood levels. SHE WAS WRONG, VERY WRONG AND STUBBORNLY RESISTENT TO MY REPEATED REQUESTS FOR A G.I. CONSULT - being assigned a "hospitalist" was NOT AN IMFORMED CHOICE.
