Very thorough and kind

He should not be a doctor. He cost me my vision and monetary lifetime losses of more than $500,000 because of his poor decisions. He should be made to pay for me to have his surgery rectified by a competent opthamalogist and pay me for lost income plus damages and taxes, all out of his own pocket(not insurance!) !

Very knowledgeable of profession, and kind and caring about his people.

He will do your cataract surgery for a price, the cost of your vision! He will not accept responsibility of his actions after surgery, it cost me a good 80% of the near perfect vision (with contacts) I had prior to his services! He is extremely arrogant, does not care about his patient after surgery, and totally refused to try to correct or offer to exchange his piece of s_ _t IOL choice of ZCBOO ! He is a disgraceful doctor and should be banned from medicine! He had nerve to say I should be happy with what he did for (TO!!!) me!!! I am left with uncorrected astigmatism; aberrations; size and shape distortions; day and night glare and halos; poor night vision; and not to mention no clarity at any distance! Other Dr's have told me he should have taken it out immediately since I complained from the first day, they would have! I can no longer drive, bike ride, run, read comfortably, or enjoy the beauty of life! I've lost over $300,000 income because of him!!!(I had to leave my job)… Prior to KIM's surgery none of these were present! Stay clear of him and EYE HEALTH NW! And worn everyone else!

I went to Dr Kim after getting a eye exam to get new glasses and they said my eye pressure was high. Turned out they were right , pressure was over 40 and should be in the teens. After taking pictures of inside my eyes it turns out I have Claucoma. Luckly it was caught early and I don't have much damage. As we were trying to find the correct eye drops to bring down the pressure , I was laid off and lost my insurance. And to make matters worse I was having bad reactions (eyes swelling closed/dry eyes) to the drops. Doctor Kim keep seeing me at no charge as we looked for a combination of eye drops that would work for me. These drops are expensive and I could not see him and pay for the drops, so not only did he not charge me, he help find progams that help reduce the prices of the drops. This man cares (rare in todays world). He also did my cataract surgery and explained it very well so I understood what was wrong and what was going to happen. I felt very comfortable going into surgery.… After wearing glasses for 50yrs I can now walk in the rain without having to look at the ground to try to keep my glasses dry and my night vision is back. If not for Dr. Kims "bed side manner" and how he explains things, I would not have had the surgery and would still be wearing glasses and would not be able to drive at night. I never met a doctor who cares about people as much as Shane Kim.

After 40 years of glasses, and having a very difficult eyes to fit with trifocal glasses and not being able to ware contacts, I am now glasses free! Dr. Kim explained to me explained to me about a great new concept of replacing the lenses in my eyes. I had bad cataracts and astigmatism. By replacing my lenses with the new Toric lens I would be able to see instantly. And he was right! While I do need glasses for very small print or items, I can read the news paper without glasses. I also see much clearer at night when driving. I give him 5 star rating!

I had been to so many eye doctors, neurolgists , OHSU and Devers with no help. They all told me my double vision was Myasthenia Gravis for 13years I had searched for help. I decided to try Shane Kim the new eye doctor at eye health NW and my first visit he told me I did not have Myasthenia Gravis and there was a blood test that would prove it. He of course was right and he sent me to a wonderful neurologist and eye surgeon and I had clear vision after that. If I had not found him and his knowledge I would still have coke bottle glasses. He is truly one in a million and you will never be sorry for giving him a chance. He walks on water in my mind.

Dr. Kim was amazing to give my 91 year old relative the paece of mind to go ahead with the cataract surgery. He put on a clear eye cover when done which was a great help, since she is about blind in her right eye. He was very pateint and understanding in explaing the procedure, folllow up and that he thought she was a good candidate for the procedure, re assuring her on each visit and just prior to the surgery. I would highly recommend him adn his staff! You helped give a 91 year old years of better sight!

I have been seeing Dr. Kim for the last 4 years and have never had a problem with my visits. Dr. Kim and his nurse has always been very helpful and answered all of my questions in detail. At one point, I was really wanting to have vision corrective surgery, he recommended against it because of the condition of my eyes. I appreciated his honesty, especially when others Doctors said I would be a good candidate. I have referred many of my friends and family to Eye Health because of my experience and trust in Dr. Kim.

My husband and I have gone to Dr. Kim for approximately 8 years. During that time I have experienced the development of cataracts, suffered the effects of diabetes, and, of course, have gotten older. I have been treated with respect, compassion, and caring. My care has been excellent without exception. Dr. Kim is a kind, caring doctor who has superior technical skills and strong communication skills. He is honest, direct, and fair in charging for his services. I have recommended him to my friends and they are also satisfied, two of which had recently had cataract surgery.
