Dr. Shane Alan Maxwell, DO

Avoid this practice unless you like being treated like human waste. This doctor would be better suited to a profession where self-importance is revered rather than empathy. His focus is squarely on himself. His patients are an unfortunate inconvenience.

Horrible. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment as was stated in both the reminders (one voicemail I have saved and one text message I have saved) that I received. When I went up to the front desk I was met with confusion and sent to a second desk where I was asked when I wanted to schedule my ‘follow up appointment’ and then was told to go back to the first desk to get copies of my cards scanned. At the front desk I was again met with confusion when I asked where to wait to go back and was told that I would not be seen as I needed to arrive AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES EARLY if I wished to be seen. That is ridiculous, especially because I was interested to have all of my paperwork already completed before I arrived, so I have no idea why I had to be there 30 minutes before my appointment. This was an entire waste of my life as I took the afternoon off work, drove 45 minutes from Middleton/Caldwell just to be turned away and have to drive right back home during rush hour. Told my… general doctor to refer me and my family members (who all have a genetic disorder) to any other pain specialists that aren’t Idaho Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

I was referred to this Doctor (Shane Maxwell) by Dr. K Kinghorn. I waited a week in a half before I called to see about the wait & was told the Dr still hadn't reviewed my chart & they would call me IF the Dr. saw it necessary to see me. Maybe things are different but, I thought as a referred patient I would be seen as I was referred. So, even with a referral the Doctor can decide.... oh, yah referral from other provider still, doesn't capture my interest. (???) Very discouraged.

I have been coming to this office for several years and Dr. Maxwell is wonderfull. His staff are very helpful and take time to answer my questions. Suzie the receptionish has been there for quite a while and is helpful and spends time chatting and helps me with billing questions. Tina is also very helpfull. This is a very friendly and they make you feel at home. Highly recommend this office

He is not cinserned about your pain..just how much money he can get from you. I dont recomend him

I am a recent relocate from Oregon where I already had a pain management doctor. This staff person took 5 days to respond to my request for an appointment. Finally, after she called back, she spent most of the time on the call telling me why they possibly would NOT accept me as a new patient!!! All this without any review nor consult from a doctor but performed by a clerical/ill equipped and untrained staff member. I'm very surprised/disappointed with this experience.

After ten years of being a wonderful patient, he dropped me with no reasonable answer.......may they be judged by Christ and go through the suffering the cause those in need of their help!!!

If you know that you need an appointment once a month make all at once.

I have been seeing this physician for some time, and I have always received excellent care from him and his staff. HOWEVER and I guess you can call me old fashion but, I have to wonder about a person who would make unflattering comments about his staff both past and present during my appointments. What relevance does this have on my health care? I believe that it is the true test of a persons integrity (regardless of their position or job title) on how they would treat others. It is with regret and sadnesss that I feel that I need to estiblish care else where. How sad it is that my decision to leave is based on the office gossip from the physician himself and not on the physisican/patient care.

I can't say enough about Dr Maxwell and his staff and how much he has helped me with my back pain. When no one else would listen to me, the Dr listened and his nurse- Ashley helped me with some insurance stuff and medications. Something his prior nurse wouldn't do.
