Dr. Shani-Kay Taneisha Chambers, MD

Similar story to the documentary “Take care of Maya”. My postpartum family member was coerced and bullied by Dr. Chambers of Pediatric Associates to have her baby separated to another hospital at a time when parents are most vulnerable. The threat was to involve legal authorities based on nothing, and they were forced to sign a document allowing the hospital to basically do whatever they deemed “necessary”. Baby had a clean bill of health by other physicians, coercion was based on a normal feature literally every newborn does, and after the dr freaked out and threw the kitchen sink of unnecessary, invasive tests at the newborn (several lacerations from tests), everything was normal as we all argued. The follow up pediatrician after hospital discharge had the same experience with this woman holding babies against parent consent. This doctor has a history of this behavior and Memorial West enables it given many staff knew and never stepped in to help. This is why women stay away from… hospitals and birth away from controlling and coercive drs. Hospital staff have been attempting to appease her while justifying the traumatic and highly unnecessary situation - threatening to take a newborn baby from its mother and father based on nothing and this is not the first occurrence. Do NOT bring your children to this doctor unless you want the risk of losing them.

Desde la recepcion hasta Martiza que me ayuda con los referals son excepcionales en sus servicios. La conveniencia de las dos locaciones y las horas de atencion no pueden ser mejores. Siempre me llamo de regreso a casa cada vez que lo necesite. 100% los mejores incluyendo al resto de doctores. No lo duden.
