Dr. Shanna Hyunshil Choi, MD

Dr. Choi treated my grandmother with incredible disrespect. She embarrassed her, didn't listen to her, and prescribed her medicine that causes dementia even though Alzheimer's runs in our family. She is a cruel person and I wouldn't trust her with your family members. I've reported her to Kaiser.

My 90 year old mother had an appointment with Dr. Shanna H. Choi. My mother is hard of hearing. My mother who is intelligent and completely "with it" could not hear the doctor and asked her to repeat herself a few times. Dr. Shanna H. Choi said "OMG, why don't you get hearing aides." My mother has hearing aides and had them on. The doctor said, "Maybe you should get new ones." She made these comments in a critical, unkind manner. My mother was holding back tears. My mother is self conscious about her hearing loss, this doctor made her feel terrible. She will never be seen by Dr. Shanna H. Choi ever again. I usually go with my parents for their appointments, if only to help them "hear." but my mother hadn't told me about this appointment. I can assure you, had I been with my mother this doctor would NEVER have spoken to her the way she did. Dr. Shanna H. Choi should not be working with humans. She may want to switch to research in a lab with no people or associates. And… may I suggest sensitivity training. One more thing...this doctor does not know my mother's financial situation. Hearing aides, sadly, are very expensive. To suggest my mother get new hearing aides, not knowing if this would cause my mother financial hardship, is especially unkind.

how a doctor can be a doctor and he does not wanted to touch my hand and my swelling knee.... she did saw my knee with her xray vision.... I was worse until I went to a private doctor who give me some pain medication.... I do have Kaiser insurance but is worse now, even to get a school/work note when you have flue is a pain.... Sad.

This doctor is very rude and is not helpful at all. Had no concern, did not care for what I had to say and was eager to end the appointment. Probably only cares about the money. What a disgrace.

Very Harsh and cold

Not personable at all. This MD made me feel like a subhuman when I had a physical appt with her. So sad how a doctor can act like this towards a patient.

I think Dr.Choi is an excellent doctor. She is a wonderful listener and takes a real interest in me. Always has a solution to any health issues I bring to her. She will spend time with me and I never feel rushed. I couldn't be happier with Dr.Choi as my primary doctor.

Compassionate, patient, delightful, and extremely smart. Highly recommended
