Dr. Shannin Dion Lewis, DO

Went in with a chronic illness and cancer and was told that rather than being stuck in the hospital constantly my flares would be handled at home with breakthrough medication. The first month went great. Then she decided I’d get 5 days of breakthrough meds a month and more than that I had to go to the hospital for more. Hospital drs resent this and resented me for it and unfortunately as much as I’d love to be able to tell my body to have 5 flare days a month it doesn’t listen and I have more like 15, landing me in the hospital half the month and away from my 4 year old. Finally a dr in hospital looked at my records and decided I was being significantly under medicated and tried a different regimen. For the first time in years I felt human and could play with my son. Dr Lewis basically told me there was no way it would happen and ordered an invasive procedure my specialist didn’t want to do and kept canceling. She labeled me uncooperative and shorted me and I never went back. Now I’m… desperately seeking a dr who cares. I had such high hopes going to her. Now hope is something I barely remember.
