Dr. Shannon Leah Deshazo, MD

My family has been with Dr. DeShazo for a few years. She takes the time necessary to answer questions and is thorough. She suggested a diagnose that I thought was going to be wrong, but sure enough the tests came back that she was right. It changed my health for the better, and I don't think many doctors would have caught it. The staff are very friendly. She is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor.

Dr. DeShazo has been my Primary Care Physician for a number of years. I transferred care to her from another doc because of her reputation. She is quiet and gentle, but don't let that deceive you; she's also smart as a whip, thoroughly knowledgeable, up-to-date, and insightful. She's no pushover, being insistent if/when she senses reluctance to follow through. Dr. DeShazo is not threatened by questions or even suggestions. She tests when deemed necessary, but not just to be seen as "doing something." I've asked her for specialist recommendations and been completely satisfied. My confidence in her has grown each year as I've grown to have ever more respect for her and gratitude for her care. Finally, her faith in God permeates all she is and does, including frequent trips to the mission field to provide free medical care; which requires leaving not only her thriving practice, but also her family of husband and 4 young children. I recommend her without reservation.

I have called DeShazo's office several times in regard to appointments or tests and it is nearly impossible to get the phone answered. First there is the menu to navigate then there is an eternal wait for someone to just answer then she immediately picks up the phone says hold and snaps you back on hold before you can respond. It takes an average of 15 min to get through. The wait to get into an exam room is about 10 min then I have waited over an hour each time I have been there to see the doctor. I don't have all day for an office visit.

She takes the time to listen to you and never makes you feel rushed. Seems genuinely concerned about your health. Both my husbanf and I go To her and trust her.

Wait time was almost 1 hour for sick visit. Waited some more once in exam room. Staff was just OK. Dr. has no personality. Poor staff and dr communication.

The front office staff are either unqualified or have no interest in what they are doing. I will certainly visit with Dr. DeShazo again, because she's a great doctor with an appealing personality. I hope the front office staff is/are retrained or replaced.

Really horrible Nurse and support staff. They do not care about patient and never get back on time . I hope the Dr take some action and get quality staff instead

Every time I have seen Dr. DeShazo, whether routinely or for immediate care, she has seen me in a timely manner. All of her staff is professional and friendly. In the visits, Dr. DeShazo listens to all concerns, provides a correct diagnosis, and prescribes appropriate treatment (to include follow up instructions). I have never felt rushed through during an office visit, and I appreciate her time, care, and concern that she takes with me as a patient.
