While Dr. Jewell is kind, she wasn’t knowledgeable about tongue and lip ties, first assuming my son’s difficulty gaining weight was due to inadequate supply of breastmilk and that his month long struggle with jaundice was “breastmilk jaundice.” She referred us to a lactation consultant who recognized that he had tongue and lip ties. Despite telling Dr. Jewell this, she didn’t believe that was the problem and stated that every baby’s lip looked like my son’s and hadn’t heard of a posterior tongue tie before. Sadly, Dr. Jewell required exclusive pumping and bottle feeding which sabotaged breastfeeding. Furthermore, my son endured weekly heel sticks for the first month of his life due to jaundice that wouldn’t clear related to not getting enough breastmilk due to his ties. I’m told by the lactation consultant that if his ties had been diagnosed and released in the first two weeks of his life, chances are breastfeeding would have been saved. Dr. Jewell’s lack of awareness of these fairly… common conditions in her patient population is what is truly appalling. I hope she educates herself on these matters.

This lady refused to properly care for my daughter! My child had ear infections regularly which would effect her asthma. This dr. decided it was my fault, bad parenting. I believe it was because I was a teenage mom,she was very hateful. I left her office crying many times, all while my child continued to suffer. After about a year, I got smart and switch doctors. My child started improving, tubes were inserted in her wars. My child is a beautiful healthy teenager now...thanks to the doctor who took the time and care enough to teach me how to be a mom and help my child get better. Wish I would have switched sooner. Please don't trust Dr.Jewell with you child or you will regret it as I do.

Dr Jewell is the Best Pediatrician ever! Very patient! Love her !!

Dr. Jewell has been seeing our son for three years. Her gentle demeanor put him at ease quickly. She is thorough and patient. As far as getting an appt., if we've had a problem, we get in the same or next day. Have not had any problem with the staff.
