Dr. Shannon Kay Kusiak, MD

For all of the 15 years, and of all the ones who took care of me, Dr. Kusiak, is the consummate professional of all family physicians. I might think that she’s the spin-off of Dr. Chen, when she isn’t, although, she’s Dr. Chen’s most favorite partner/friend, unlike Chen, Dr. Kusiak is the most animated, celebrated and humourous physician, who always is able to listen to patient’s problems, answer the patients’s questions, and even at times, encourage others to embark on a plant-based diet, in amounts of exercising and lifestyle decision making. For a physician, who has 12 of my friends, whom she sees, Kusiak is also known for women’s health, and for taking patient’s holistic judgment, by force, in keeping balance. In order for me to have Dr. Kusiak, the last physician had to leave, due to a family crisis, and somebody didn’t last, which was a female, however, the transition to her was both “exciting” and “super-uncomfortable,” because rarely I have female physicians, but, Kusiak is the… 2nd female physicians, I have ever had and now, the longest-running of them all. I always feel safe with her, and she gives me lots of things to stay healthy, too. Additionally, Kusiak, who (more often than not) is the only physician to also ask me to make sure that vitamin intake has been taken, each day, to improve. Being the “most-used” and “top” physician, in the same situation as: Dr. Chen, but unlike him, when she’s either available, ex. for being busy with another patient, or she’s unavailable, normally, I see Dr. Benevich, a pediatrician/internist, however, but, due to a change in direction, for both the office and myself, that the last doctor has resigned, I would see Dr. Dyksterhouse, another internist, and he has worked closely with Kusiak, ever since, the transition. Yet, it was/still is Dr. Kusiak, whom she remains #1, on my list!
