Dr. Shannon Catherine Lehr, MD

I had two visits with Dr. Lehr. The first visit I was asked to come 15 minutes early. I came 15 minutes early, filled out the paperwork, and then still waited over an HOUR to be seen. I blamed this on being my first visit and assumed it wouldn’t happen again. My second visit, I waited 1:25 in the waiting room and then an additional 5 in the room to see her. Then to make matters worse, my appointment with her lasted less than 2 min. Over an hour and a half wait JUST for her to tell me everything looked good. Something that could have easily been done over the phone. Even though I liked her, that wait is NOT worth it to me especially with two little ones at home. If you go with her, be ready to wait. Also, with no apologies or “thanks for waiting” to be acknowledged.

Dr. Lehr and her team of breast cancer professionals are outstanding! Knowledgeable, collaborative, thorough and caring.

I love this lady! Dr. Lehr is so comforting and compassionate. I feel totally secure in her care and would recommend her to anyone!

I think Dr. Lehr is wonderful! She is extremely thorough and meticulous, caring and compassionate. I had multiple visits with her prior to my double mastectomy. She took large amounts of time explaining everything to me and my husband prior to surgery, Her communication to the other members of the INOVA Loudoun Breast Cancer Team was also terrific. There was NEVER a time I had an appt with another doc and they did not the information that they needed. The docs on the Breast Cancer Team have amazing communication with each other. I could not have gotten better care anywhere else. I would recommend Dr. Lehr a hundred times over. Absolutely adore her, she is an amazing surgeon and breast specialist.

Office visit $900!!! Staff not very friendly, you must bring in your own medical records,THEY will NOT request them from other Drs. Wait time normal. NO follow up from office after tests!!!! At least Dr spent time with us, but not $900 worth, & again no followup (& results require more in depth testing).
