Dr. Shannon Tamara Leu

My first visit today with Dr. Leu could not have been more pleasant. She was very attentive to why I was there, gave me a thorough exam, and was very informative as to a course of action for my problems. I felt extremely comfortable knowing she would get to the bottom of my concerns. Her staff was also courteous and very pleasant. I highly recommend her!

While she seems to certainly know cardiology, on my first visit she appeared to me to be judgemental, and past instructive to the point of bossy. The second visit was better. My biggest problem was getting a response to my recent prescription request. I left a message with the prescription voice mail. After getting no response, after almost week I called and left a voice mail message with an assistant, who was not even Dr. Leu's assistant (even though I pressed the correct phone button for Dr. Leu's assistant). Again, no response after another 5 days. I finally went back to my primary internist at Baptist, and had no problem talking to an actual person after a short wait. I had the prescription in hand the next day.

I received care from Dr Leu about 8 years ago. She answered my questions, cared what I had to say, and was very encouraging. She makes you feel that she's on your team and wants you to be successful in reaching your health goals. When I had a recent need for a cardiologist, the decision was easy for me. I asked to be sent to Dr Leu again. Not only is she a very competent cardiologist, but that staff that supports her are equally great. I highly recommend her!

Terrible bedside manner. Doesn't really want patient's input. Very condescending! If I had to go to the emergency room and she was on duty, I would walk out!

Saw Dr. Leu in the hospital after being admitted through the ER. I found her to be extremely condescending. It also appears that I knew more about the side affects and interaction side affects of my medications. She is very opinionated and doesn't take input from patients well. Would not ever have her as my regular cardiologist.

Very pleasant, knowledgeable, thorough, and explains things very well. Also, she is usually prompt. Her staff are always helpful, smiling. courteous, and get along with each other.

Dr. Leu is very good at explaining the Medical issue quickly, clearly and with compassion.She does the same for laying out treatment options. Her bedside manner helped me make confident decisions about my treatment options.

Dr.Leu has been one of the best doctors I have ever come in contact with. She care about your health and will keep going until she comes up with the right plan for you. She very much individualize your care. She explain what is going with your care in terms that you understand. Most of all she has been a tremendous influence on my even wanting to be healthy. Many doctors had told me that my pressure was a death sentence, but she talk me how to not accept that and for the first time in my life my blood pressure is controlled. Thank you Dr. Leu
