Shannon Nelson, PA-C, brings 24 years of experience in caring for patients in the local community, including 19 years in gastroenterology and five years in urology. Throughout her career, she has developed meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and families, caring for multiple generations and building a reputation for trusted, compassionate care.Shannon earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Marquette University. Her diverse specialty experience has given her a broad perspective on adult health and a passion for connecting the many pieces of a patient’s health to better understand the whole person.Outside of medicine, Shannon enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, traveling, mahjong, and creating memorable experiences within her community. I love the "puzzle" of medicine: bringing together a patient's symptoms, history, medications, lifestyle, family history, labs, and other seemingly unrelated pieces to understand the whole picture. My goal is to connect those pieces, look beyond a single symptom or organ system, and partner with each patient to create a thoughtful, personalized plan. The best care happens when patients feel heard, understood, and known. I strive to provide continuity, accessibility, and genuine partnership throughout every stage of a patient's healthcare journey.
