Dr. Shannon M Pye

Dr. Pye was born and raised in Walterboro, SC. It was his love of the lowcountry and small town life, that brought him back in July of 1999, to purchase the practice of Dr. John Tennant, originally established in 1963. Dr. Pye is a 1989 graduate of Presbyterian College and a 1994 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. Upon graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Martin Army Hospital in Columbus, GA.
He continued to serve in the United States Army for an additional four years with duty stations in Camp Casey, South Korea, Ft. Stewart, GA and Hunter Army Airfield, GA. Dr. Pye is an active member of the American Dental Association and has held multiple offices in the Coastal District Dental Society.
When Dr. Pye is not in the office he enjoys playing sports, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Dr. Pye and his wife Robin have three children.
