Dr. Shannon Leigh Reed, DO

Told me to get psychiatric help for a skin condition.

I was told it did not matter what my diagnosis was, that medication would not help, and I just had to wait to get better naturally. It was a sinus infection.

Shannon Reed left notes in my after visit appointment that claimed I was “very argumentative” and “he just wants an anti-fungal drop that he read about online. He said he disagreed with me and accused me of refusing to help him.” Several points here: Dr Reed is assuming that I read about this anti-fungal drop online which is not the case. There were no accusations from my end. I only said I disagreed with her. Which does not make me “very argumentative”. I never said she refused to help me, I actually told her I guess she can’t help me and thanked her for her time. I applaud Dr. Reed for being willing to admit she was not comfortable practicing medicine outside her area of expertise… but some very harsh words from this physician and her general attitude toward me made me question whether she may be a misandrist. Probably better for male patients to stay away from this doctor. Wishing you all the best Dr. Reed.

Dr Reed is absolutely rude, kept cutting me off while explaining my symptoms, over talked me repeatedly and was the most condescending doctor to speak with. I do not recommend

Like prior reviews state, she is extremely rude and shows little to no care for patients. Did not listen, did not wish to reason, just said come back in a few days if symptoms (which I have never in my life experienced) persist. Clearly in the profession for the money as opposed to genuine care for human well-being. Go anywhere else.

Instead of trying to ask me questions or try to understand things I said she became rude and judgmental. Out phone visit was fine until I triggered her with one sentence.

Extremely unprofessional, talked over me, argued everything I said, and she left the room without offering me any help at all. (She actually said that I'd have to wait at least 10 days to see if I'd get better - I didn't get better, by the way.) Luckily, another doctor I visited the next day helped me. AVOID Dr. Shannon Reed, Do - she doesn't care about you. You've been warned.

Dr Reed has decided to close her practice. Iam so Sad.Ive been going to her for 15 years. In that time I have grown old and she has grown up.I will miss her, her staff and the personal one on one of a small office She made my quality of life better than she knows

She is not concerned with her patients well being as a whole. She wants to get her patients in and out as fast as possible so if you have a real issue to discuss and she is in a hurry or in a bad mood you can forget it. She went on a tirade over topics I brought up and already had lab paperwork written up (just to appease me) she was not listening to me or my concerns. She wanted me out of her office but not before she collected my copay so she could get the insurance to pay her. She spoke down to me and treated me like I was less than her. I will be filing a formal complaint. If you want someone to write you a quick RX when you are sick go for it but if you want a doctor who cares I would look elsewhere.

The bes doctor I have ever had and I am in my 60s.
