Dr. Shannon Christine Roberts, MD

I can only speak great about Dr. Roberts. I met her in 2002 on my year experience in the US and while on vacation in Jackson. My problem was not under her area of responsibility but she was in the surgery and on my side for the whole time I spent in the hospital. My English was not good back then and she gave me all the support I needed. She has been very professional and a wonderful human being regarding my whole situation. I still remember her after so many years. Dr. Roberts and the team saved me from my necrotic bowel and emotional breakdown. Thank you!!!

Docs are fine but business office is ridiculous. I had to cancel a surgery 30 days out due to our moving out of state and they charged me $200 cancellation fee. They said that they charged me because I canceled a surgery last year (more than 30 days out) but that was due to my losing my insurance. Sure! I can afford a $30000 surgery without insurance!!! Everyone can! I have been a patient here for over 15 years and this is how I am treated? I'm glad I am moving out of state and will have to find another provider.

Shannon Roberts is a wonderful doctor and person. She is very encouraging, attentive, and respectful of my opinions and concerns. She always has time for questions and her staff is great at working with insurance and other heathcare providers. She is better at negotiating that uncomfortable doctor/patient divide than any physician I have ever worked with. She has been by my side through a cancer diagnosis, a surgery, and may follow-up issues. I love this woman!

Dr. Roberts is the kind of lady you want for your best friend. I had a fairly serious issue and she was highly knowledgeable and explained everything to me in a way that I actually understood. Up until this point I had been left so confused by numerous doctors. Also, she delivered my son and the c-section scar is hardly noticable! Love her!

I have seen a lot of OBGYN's, only because I have moved around a lot. Dr. Roberts is by far the BEST doctor I have ever been to in my life! From the minute she came in, she made me feel very comfortable. She talked to me like I was one of her best friend's. She really listened to my worries and concerns and put my mind at ease. She has a way of making you feel like what you are saying is important. She never talked down to me, like some doctor's do. By the time she did the exam, I felt extremely comfortable around her. I didn't rate the wait time as high as everything else, only because it was kind of long. But, I think it's long only because Dr. Roberts spends so much time with her patients getting to know them. Is that really a bad thing?I also rated the follow-up a little lower only because I never heard back on my pap-smear and had to call on that. Over all though, best doctor I've ever been to! I'm definitely not dreading my yearly exam anymore. :)

During the time of my miscarriage, I was treated VERY poorly by this doctor. The miscarriage was made even more emotionally painful because of the way I was treated,and I can honestly say that in my entire life, no one has ever treated me in such a mean way. I am a person who gets along very well with most everyone that I meet, work with, and live with. I myself read reviews, and I know someone else may appreciate knowing a review of this doctor. She is a good doctor, but her bedside manner I was appalled by. I would not recommend her.

Wonderful doctor, would recommend her to anyone!!!
