Dr. Shannon Voirin Setzer, MD

"A rare chronic inflammatory skin disease" this is what my final diagnosis was after several doctors appointments and being sent twice to the emergency room. After my 2nd ER visit my personal physician reached out to Big Sky Dermatology. No one else would see me for months but Big Sky agreed to see me within days. Keep in mind I have a 2 1/2 hour drive every time I have an appt. I first saw Bobbi Neumann, PA-C. I did not get a diagnosis right away but I was met with sincere concern and reassurance that we would begin the path of diagnosing my condition right then and there. She did a bx took photos and consulted with Dr. Setzer over the phone. Bobbi Neumann made sure I had an appt with Dr. Setzer within the week. I left feeling like I was definitely with the right people. My first appt with Dr.Setzer was a very positive experience. She was engaged with me as her patient, listened and took time with me. She was able to do a visual diagnosis immediately even though PRP is not… very common. She put me on the right track for treatment. This isn't an easy condition to live with, but every time I have an appt I am met with care and consideration from the front staff to her assistant, Megan, and every visit I have with Dr. Setzer. They take the time, they return my calls immediately. Megan, her assistant, has been so very helpful in coordinating my treatments with insurance, pharmacy and answering any questions I may have. I highly recommend Big Sky Dermatology, Dr. Setzer, and her whole team.

Did not actually test the skin sample taken, or spend any time asking pertinent questions, yet prescribed medication for something that it "likely" may be anyway.

Dr. Setzer is awesome, she's been my doctor for years now, always looking out for me and making sure everything is under control. I trust her completely.

I was not very comfortable with my checkup. Bedside manner was nonexistent, she was very quiet and did not address my concerns. Moles that I wanted removed because of uncomfortable placement are still there. A spot that was to be frozen was frozen almost without warning. I wasn't informed it was coming and took me by surprise. I left without further instructions and it took weeks for them to bill my insurance. There has been no followup call from her. Subsequent visit to family physician and it was suggested that I get another opinion on the spot she ignored.
