Shannon was born in Savannah, Georgia but has lived all over including Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico. She has spent most of her adult life in Atlanta, Georgia but most recently moved to Colorado from Norfolk, Virginia. Shannon attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta for her undergraduate studies. She continued her education at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk where she earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
