I have been to other opthamologists near where I live in the northern NJ and NY area. Although they all seemed very competent and good at what they do Dr. Wong is in a league of his own. I was hesitant at first to take the long trip from NJ to Austin but it was well forth it. Everyone was very considerate of my tight schedule due to my travel itinerary. From the initial phone contact with his office to the actual visit with him, there simply isn't any comparison. The level of professionalism and organization is unparalleled. Every step has been a great experience. All his videos are an amazing resource. Especially his objective, unbiased reviews of the latest lenses to his patient interviews. They have been priceless in helping me determine the lens that would best suit my needs. His transparency and the empirical data he shares in his videos is something that anyone considering cataract surgery should definately watch since it is an investment in your vision. Everything about… his practice from the facility, the front desk staff, the medical assistants preforming the preliminary test and exams to, especially, the doctor himself, are at the top of their game. Its evident that a lot of thought and energy has been put into every step of the process to make it as smooth and pleasant as possible.

Checkup after cataract and lens replacement surgery 7 months ago. Very comprehensive check of my eyes. Dr Wong did a very thorough exam and did a laser treatment (took about 2 minutes) on both eyes to correct some minor issue. Excellent service.

Dr. Shannon Wong is phenomenal, as is his whole practice, team (Julia is outstanding) and offices. So grateful for his exceptional care over the years and recommend him wholeheartedly to all my family and friends (and strangers!).

I was a bit disappointed because it seemed Dr Wong was very busy and spoke more to the technician than he did to me. His advise was also disappointing, but I feel I need to trust it.

I am grateful for the awesome service received from the staff at Austin Eye. Abby RN walked me through the procedure in advance and had my left eye completed by Dr. Wong in 7 minutes. I could see immediately after the procedure and my vision was 20/20 the following day. I recommend Dr. Shannon Wong and his competent staff and appreciate their expertise!! I'm looking forward to getting the procedure on my right eye next week !
