Dr. Shant Artur Parseghian, MD

This is the best care available. You don't have to go into Boston anymore. When I showed up on Dr. Parseghian's doorstep, I was in glucose toxicity and dangerously close to a diabetic coma. With his help and guidance, I was able to manage my diabetes and eventually even get off of insulin. Without the intervention of Dr. Parseghian and his team, it is highly unlikely that I would even still be here to write this review. Thank you to Dr. Parseghian and his entire staff.

Had an excellent visit. He took plenty of time. He was on the computer multitasking while checking medical history and different past tests. Gave good advice and was exactly what you would expect in a doctor visit.

I unfortunately did not have a good visit with Dr. Parseghian... I believe I am an understanding person that is cognizant of how hard this unprecedented time is on everyone, doctors especially. However I believe Dr. Parseghian's behavior was quite unprofessional, and made my new diabetes diagnosis quite hard to deal with. The Dr. spent 90% of the appointment silently typing on the computer, and the rest either asking my brief questions or handing me pamphlets. He was not at all cognizant of the fact that I had just gotten the diabetes diagnosis a week before and was still in a vulnerable state, he did not explain anything about my condition to me, nor what to expect, what the medication he prescribed to me did or what effect it would have on me, there is so much he did not talk to me about. He was just rushing to get out of the room and his behavior was cold and extremely unprofessional. Maybe this was him on a bad day, but either way please do not see this doctor.

Refuses to call Medicare to get me a diabetic testing meter covered by insurance. I lost mine and if you lose it you can get another one but the provider must call medicare to get it done. They refuse to call medicare to solve the problem. As a patient, Im not worth it. I'm disabled and unable to come to the office to pick one up. Refuses to just pick up the phone so medicare can have walgreens deliver one to me at my door during covid. For some reason he thinks I have friends and family that can drive over and pick it up for me. I tried to explain I DO NOT. But office staff uncooperative. Even a call to Immediate Advocacy through Quality Improvement Organization/Medicare they would not work with them either and I'm forced to put in a complaint about the doctor. Just crazy. Does not accommodate disabled people. Which is against the law. You can beg and plead your case but you shouldnt have to tell your whole life story in order to get a call to medicare placed. He seemed to… be a decent doctor if your rich or middle class. But if you are poor and disabled and want your insurance coverage to cover your diabetic supplies...he is not the one for you...or me.
