Dr. Shanthini Kasturi, MD

I have fibromyalgia. I went to Tufts because I've had rapid and significant changes to my health and symptoms are getting much worse. Most of my visit was spent with a student/intern, who was great. Then the doctor knocked on the door to tell him to hurry up. After he went out to discuss my problems with her, she came in the room and spent less than 3 minutes telling me that I just have fibromyalgia and there's nothing else wrong. No tests or anything to back up her opinion. Made me feel like I was a nuisance and was wasting her time. I now have a $400 bill for being treated like garbage. I wouldn't even refer my worst enemy to this doctor.

I saw Dr. Kasturi for Ankylosing Spondylitis. She was a very good listener and allowed me to explain my full history of the disease. She helped guide me through treatment options and was a great doctor. I was very sad to see her leave HSS. Great doctor, highly recommend.

I felt like I am not worthy my problems aren’t important. For a long time, I refused to look for answers about my problems Because I felt no one cares. I'm looking for alternative doctors now they seemed not corrupt by the pharmaceutical industry.
