Dr. Sharla Marie Shipman, MD

I had my two pregnancies with Dr Shipman. She is simply the most caring and loving doctor I have ever met. She is super energetuc, and is very patient and will elaborate anything that's not clear to you. Any time I show worries, she reassures me with kind words and professional knowledge and experience. I am so glad I had her there for my two boys. She is the definately one major part of my sweet prego memory. I sincerly recommend her.

Even if you show up early you will be treated like there is no time for you. Lab tech was rushing the sonogram and didn't get all the pics needed. The nurse is the worse and will treat you like trash. Dr. Shipman will not explain anything, even if you ask. She gives you about 15 minutes and then will just leave to the next patient without telling you.

Dr. Shipman is a person with very good positive spirits and she is very sweet and understanding! She speaks very much like a good friend. she answers all my questions with patience. I especially like her positive spirits, friendly nature and very caring, understanding attitude. I might have to move to a different city in some time and i am going to miss her soooooooooooo much!! :( She was very happy for us and her Nurse, Cheryl is very understanding too and patiently answers all my questions. May be, her waiting times are a little longer but IT'S WORTH THE WAIT !!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. SHIPMAN TO A FRIEND.

I have been seeing Dr Shipman for 7 years. My first encounter was for a ruptured ovarian cyst follow up care after an ER visit. My supervisor knew her and gave me her name as a go to OB. She goes above and beyond to help her patients even visiting me while she was on vacation after a less than 24hr notice c-section from a perinatal specialist. I have had 2 children through her office. We miscarried between the 2 that we have and she had such sympathy and understanding through a very sad experience. Her nurse is always available for messages and communication to her if you ever have concerns.

I love Dr. Shipman. I have been going to her for more than 10 years and will continue to go to her. She has excellent bedside manner - very caring and thoughtful doctor. My only disappointment is that it's hard to get an appointment with her. It can take six months to get an appointment with her. So you want to make sure you call many months in advance.

I have had three children with three different OB's. Dr. Shipman and the staff at Menorah Medical are BY FAR the absolute BEST. My husband is military, and we move around a lot,if we ever come back to Kansas,Dr. Shipman it is!

Dr. Shipman is far and away the best OB/GYN I've seen in 20 years. It's true, she does tend to run behind in appointments, but the flip side is that when it's my turn in her office, she is always patient, never seems rushed and is more than willing to take the time to answer my questions, no matter how long it takes. She seems to be genuinely concerned for the health and well-being of her patients. I've had several health issues come up in the last few years and she has been consistently methodical in correctly pinpointing the cause and mapping out treatment.

Very caring OB! Personable, attentive, really cares about her patients.
