Dr. Sharmila Roy Chowdhury, MD

I had surgery by Dr Roy Chowdhury at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano in 2021. It was a Lipoma removal in my right side of the neck/clavicle area. After the surgery, she admitted having cut a piece of a nerve but she did not recommend any treatment. The next day she did not examine me in person and over FaceTime she determined that nothing was wrong even when I expressed my concern of not being able to move my arm the same way as before. My arm mobility worsened every day. She was dismissive, her follow-up care was minimal, and she failed to recommend crucial treatments in a timely manner. My journey to recover has been long and arduous, involving numerous medical appointments, therapy sessions, and significant lifestyle adjustments. It has affected my physical health but also my mental well-being. I reported this to the medical board but never heard back from them. Her mistake has gone unseen and no consequences for her, but only for myself. I do not recommend you let her… perform surgery to you.
