Dr. Sharon Denise Baty, PhD

Dr. Baty is very intelligent and caring. I have been seeing her for a couple years and she has equipped me with many tools to help navigate my life and relationships. She is extremely knowledgeable in practices like EMDR, which has been really helpful for me. I always feel safe in her presence due to her welcoming aura and she has truly changed my life.

Dr.Baty was absolutely amazing! She listened to what I had to say and helped me come up with solutions. She was there for me even when I didn’t have an appointment.

Dr. B is the absolute best counselor/therapist I’ve ever seen. The work we accomplished in just under a year made a huge impact in my Life and allowed me to heal from traumas that were buried and some that were not buried. Dr. B is patient, kind, makes you really take a step back to think and also gives you homework as needed. Her sessions are fantastic and it’s evident that she cares truly about what she does. Dr. B is transparent, open and honest about the healing and work that needs to be completed and helps you through the highs and the lows of that work. Even when I’ve needed an emergency appointment she was very accommodating and understanding. I highly recommend Dr. B!!!

I can honestly say that Dr Baty changed my life for the better. She helped me take responsibility for my healing journey. and she helped me take responsibility for all my decisions both good and bad. She supplied the tools I needed to learn to better manage my emotions. When I was venting about my problems and she helped by asking questions that really made me think about my perspective and understand why I felt a certain way. we used EMDR in our sessions. She taught me grounding techniques that I still use to this day. Even though she discharged me from her care, she still checks in on me from time to time and I’m still able to call her for emergencies. She’s been amazing.

Dr. Baty is a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional. She is thorough, invested and does a great job adapting her skills to what the individual needs. I felt very safe with her and never judged. Highly recommend her!!

I never thought therapy was for me and didn’t think any therapist could help me but Dr.Baty has helped me in ways I can’t even explain. She taught me how to find my self and my voice and helped me with personal things I never thought someone could help me with. She is very professional and very kind. Dr. Baty always has the best attitude and is there with one goal and that’s to help you.

A year after being sexually assaulted I had reached rock bottom and my husband found Dr. Baty online. I came to her completely broken, so lost and was on the verge of taking my life. After 8 months of treatment I was finally able to breathe again and for the first time in my life wanted to be alive. A year later and I am med-free, therapy free, and I have never been happier! She gives you endless tools so that once you’re on your own you’re able to continue to process and work through any trauma that may linger or come back up. There are times where past feelings may resurface but she’s taught me it’s just my body remembering the trauma and that I am safe now. And thankfully for me, remembering what happened is nowhere near as painful as it used to feel! She will work with you and make sure you are always comfortable and that therapy is happening at your preferred pace. And best of all in my opinion, she is not the kind of therapist that will just tell you what you want to hear but… regardless she delivers her thoughts with softness and care. She does not sugarcoat things and I’ve come to learn that’s a very valuable trait to have in a therapist when you’re truly trying to heal and move forward in life. She is also very easy to approach! We had a misunderstanding in one of our last sessions and I appreciated that it wasn’t something I had to bottle up but rather I could talk to her about it. I misinterpreted a comment she had made and after discussing it she paused, looked me in my eyes, and let me know she believes me and sees my trauma. It was a very healing discussion and a great way to end my chapter in therapy! She also made sure to let me know if I ever needed her help again, discharging from therapy is not ending access to her. I would never hesitate to suggest her care and I mean that with my whole heart! She is extremely professional and has so much experience and is just simply amazing at what she does! She’s a woman’s woman and will always have your back and empower you to heal, grow stronger, and get your life back!

There are a lot of people who are not ready for trauma therapy. They will slander her. This amazing therapist has changed my life. But if you are not ready for this type of therapy, it’s better not to go to Dr. B She does encourage clients to take responsibility for their healing processes, even if they didn’t cause the emotional damage. With good therapists, there’s always an angry biased one in the bunch who wasn’t ready to do the work. Meet her for yourself.
