Dr. Sharon Chen, MD

Dr Chen is the only internist I have ever liked in Houston! She truly listens and makes me feel relaxed. Dr Chen is thorough and returns my messages very promptly as well as my medicine refills.

Dr. Chen and her staff respond very slowly and inadequately to questions or requests, even via MyChart online. She is also very slow to refill prescriptions, even when given a month's notice that the prescription is about to run out. Over two years I've been under her "care", this has happened 5 times - twice I've gone 1 to 2 weeks without meds. The reason I sought another doctor's care was that at refill time she arbitrarily lowered a dosage of a medicine that I had taken for years, without having any scientific reason (no tests, no data) to justify the reduction, even after having prescribed this medicine at the same dosage to me for at least two years. This dosage had been originally adjusted by a specialist, long before, who had done the lab work and taken the painstaking, much-needed time to adjust the dosage to the proper level.
