Dr. Sharon Mcgarry Foster, MD

Dr. Foster grew up in Sarasota, Florida. She completed her undergraduate work at Duke University and received her M.D. degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Foster then completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at UNC where she was voted Outstanding Pediatric Intern and Senior Resident. Subsequently she joined Raleigh Pediatric Associates, P.A., in 1983. Her husband, Bill, also is a physician and they have three sons. Community involvement includes past Chairperson of Pediatrics at Wake Medical Center, and she presently serves as the Physician Representative on the N.C. Child Care Commission. Dr. Foster and her family enjoy sports, especially tennis and golf. They are active members of Asbury United Methodist Church, and Dr. Foster enjoys gardening and classical music.
