Dr. Sharon Kay Hale, DO

Dr. Hale accepted me as a returning patient ( I had been working in another area) after several years. As in the past, I am very satisfied. Her treatment was effective in addressing my health needs. I would not hesitate to recommend her to someone else.

This doctor is losing it! In an appointment she asked me if I wanted a job because she was ready to fire her mother. In a different appointment as I was leaving, I asked the front desk about a bill that wasn't adding up. Dr. Hale overheard me and chased me out to the parking lot and yelled and screamed at me for asking about the bill. I was afraid she might assault me. Forget how the appointment went, this was frightening. I never thought she would do anything like this, but I was wrong about her character.

She is always about 2-3 hrs behind & has a really bad attitude. After waiting for hours, she walked through the waiting room & out the front door as she was yelling & screaming at her employees. Then she got in her truck & left for about 30 minutes. Then when she came back she continued to argue with her employees where everyone could hear. She goes through help like most people go through underwear. She apparently does have problems with her temperament. She was so frazzled after doing all this, she couldn't focus on my needs as a patient. Instead she kept complaining about her employees & told me she was thinking about closing her doors & going to work somewhere else. Not sure she could handle working under another person as she is very much a control freak. This argument was about who controls the thermostat.

She does not care about patients and does not respect their time, but she sure as heck wants her money. She is greedy and refuses to help people in need. With all the money her patients pay, you would think she would get better seating, but she doesn't care about the comfort of the sick, poor, and injured. Ruthless!

Had an appointment with this doctor at 9:00AM which should have been plenty of time to make it to my dentist appointment at 2:30PM. Walk-ins were called to the back before I was and I was not seen until sometime after 1:30PM. I had to call and reschedule with my dentist. Then when she finally saw me she acted like I was wasting her time and was very short and rude with me. Her diagnosis was also wrong. I ended up seeing another doctor who informed me the information given to me by this doctor is out of date, much like her equipment. I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy.

Went in as a walkin which made me almost the last patient. While in the waiting room dr. hale started yelling something about the patient she had just seen. The patient was behind her and obviously upset. Though I don't know what was going on I do know that dr.hale was not right for yelling at or about the patient. The girl was much smaller than dr. hale so I know she couldn't have been trying to hurt her or anything. I actually use to work the girl she use to be my boss, so I know she don't deserve to be treated like this. She has always been real sweet and would not fight even if you hit her. Dr. Hale caused a big scene and acted wrongly. Then when the girl left the girls at the desk were bashing the patient that this happened too. Its just not right.

My insurance is Champ V.A. and basically when I go to the doctor my insurance pays everything for me and I am billed by the insurance company for the $50.00. The lady at the front desk argued with me and tried to force me to pay the $50.00 up front out of my own pocket, even though my insurance pays the doctor's office directly for 100% of my visits. The two girls Dr. Hale has working for her are rude and unprofessional and everybody's personal business is aired over the entire office. Dr. Hale goes through employees like most would go through underwear and she has not had good help in a long time. This is probably the worst I have ever witnessed in her office. Dr. Hale also seems more stressed toward patients and her help just sets the environment for bad attitude. It also really tiring to hear the girls in the office complain so much about how over booked Dr. Hale is when there is "walk-ins welcome" sign on the door. It is likely I will NOT go back to this doctor nor will I refer… her to someone else.

Dr. Hale previously has been a good doctor but with unprofessional help she is not the compassionate doctor she once was when she earned her award in 2011. There is no privacy in her office and her staff is lacking professionalism. Her office is also gross and dirty and needs to have the walls cleaned from time to time. At least the bathrooms are clean but this is not a Stop - N - Go store, it is doctor's office. It also takes a month to get an appointment with her and she spends more time talking about herself and giving personal advice and not medical advice and seems to let her emotional feelings interfere with her practice. She is giving a bad name to female doctors.

It is difficult to get an appointment with this doctor. It is about a month long wait plus the hours you will be stuck in the waiting room. HOWEVER, Dr. Hale does take walk-ins so I would advise skipping the front desk diva and save yourself some trouble. That chic always whines and complains and she is really clueless about the way one should behave when working at a doctor's office. She does not really know about her role in the environment and does not know how to keep things private and obviously the young lady is influencing the doctor instead of the doctor empowering her help. Dr. Hale seems to be taking direction from her employees not the other way around and her staff does not have the education to support their tongue wagging the way it does. Dr. Hale use to be a good doctor, but her practice is going down fast with the immaturity of the girl running her office. It seems that Dr. Hale is taking her stress and frustration out on her patients instead of getting a grip on her… help. Dr. Hale is not even patient focused anymore and after visiting another doctor I was informed that her information is out of date.

As with every visit with Dr. Hale the wait time is too long, typically an hour and a half up to three hours after your scheduled appointment. The waiting room is hardly ever full but the staff complains constantly about how overbooked Dr. Hale is and though she takes walk-ins to get an appointment with her takes at least a month. The staff Lena and Ragan gossip constantly in audible hearing of the patients about the patients and constantly complain about people. After waiting for so long, Dr. Hale did not spend much time with me and did not answer my questions. Instead I had to hear her personal stories which did not seem relevant to my needs. My wait was long but my visit was rushed and no there was not a follow up even though I felt like one was needed. I did not feel any sense of professionalism in this office at all and do not feel like my medical records are safe and protected with her staff.
