Dr. Sharon Hird, MD

Will not give too much context to protect anonymity. Dr. Hird did not listen, she was stern and assertive in her assessment. We meet several times over several months. I involved another care provider for a second opinion and took action based on her comments and recommendations. They proved to be meaningfully off base over time. That happens in all things medicine (mental health especially in my experience) but not with a doctor who lacks bedside manner and proclaims things emphatically without sufficient or substantial exposure to the patient. Avoid at all costs.

Unempathic and robotic. Not recommended

I had a similar experience with Dr. Hird. I myself am a Physician trained in Neurology. Dr. Hird is awful, just as described. Heartless, regimented, medically of poor fund of knowledge. I intend to discuss with her Department Chair. In my opinion, she is not qualified to staff a Psych ER., particularly at a major Hospital. The Chair will have the final call. She represents a superb hospital extremely poorly.

Was a patient for several years. Doesn’t give a crap about you only the money she makes.

Extremely Nasty, Extremely unprofessional

i had a nose infection and went to the emergency room to see a doctor thinking i would get care but i was mistakenly triaged to the psych ward by an inattentive and incompetent nurse lucille tiffany and was then kept there by the neurotic, anorexic looking, whiney and narcissistic doctor sharon hird who was in charge of that filthy place. when i told her that i was there by mistake all she said was there are protocols that she has to follow. my cell phone and possessions were taken away from me, my backpack searched and wallet gone through. i was kept there for over 5 hours and then released without even an apology. stay far away from that place. i have seen two other reviews of people who have had similar experiences there and i am sure there are many more. i would rate my experience there minus 5 stars.
