Dr. Sharon Jean Myers, MD

Dr. Myers is just very carrying, thorough and has a ease about her that lets the patient feel comfortable. The very best quality is she does not push medications or want to switch the medication that your on * if you as the patient are not comfortable with* which is one of the very best qualities a Dr. can have. As a long time patient, her knowledge and experience really helps and the way she allows you to explain and not be afraid to say your afraid there just isn't judgement like so many others, she takes the extra time to listen and help you. She is the 8th Psychiatrist I have seen over a 25 year span and by far the very best. I feel if a patient is not comfortable and a Dr. just decides to prescribe medication that they do not explain or won't listen to how you have tried it in the past, well to me, that is just a * here take a this pill I don't care what it does to you-that is what the pill is for * well, people have a sensitivity to medication and some people like myself have a… HUGE fear of trying new pills. Like anyone with PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, you would love something to numb your pain (mental) however your fear of just taking pills because that is what that pill should do for you does not mean it will. So a Dr. that listens is a rare find in this day and age. I find her extremely patient and caring. Dr. Myers also is willing to work with you at your pace, which also, is very HUGE. I cannot say enough good on this Dr. Sometimes we do get lucky and find a good one.
