Dr. Sharon Palushock, MD

Scheduled a day off. Had the appointment set up. Apparently a legitimate family emergency doesn't qualify for an excuse to cancel. Maybe the prestigious university of Guadalajara doesn't teach ethics.

I have been a patient of Dr. Palushock for over 20 years. She has always helped me understand my diabetes and takes the time to listen to my concerns. Her medical advice, willingness to listen to me and treat me with respect is the reason I trust her and have been with her so long. I would highly recommend her to anyone In need of her expertise. I have read some of the negative reviews and cannot believe they are talking about Dr. Palushock! Her staff has always been wonderful to me.

This doctor has one goal: to prescribe Synthroid. She doesn't care if you have normal thyroid levels, zero symptoms, no antibodies, etc. She simply wants to overprescribe. Heaven forbid if you have to cancel an appointment. She will not allow you back as a patient. She is very old school, incapable of thinking out of the box, and does not seem to have patient welfare at heart. It is hard in this area to find other endocrinologists, but I would travel somewhere else rather than trust her.

The doctor refused to reschedule my appointment after her receptionist called me to reschedule and I called and found this out without any warning to me that's very unprofessional and as far as the doctor goes she doesn't do follow up visits well enough either not very attentive to what you are explaining to her. She is to busy talking into her microphone for her computer and than Has to go back and type because the computer doesn't understand her

I have been a patient for many years. She takes her time with each patient and not rush them out the door. Making sure all you questions and concerns are answered. So if she happens to run a little behind, its because she giving everyone their undivided attention and time. I have had blood tests ran and she received a copy and called to let me know I needed to adjust my medicine. I had a recall on my blood pressure recently and neither my primary or pharmacy told me. She switched my blood pressure medine looking out for my best intrest. Never had any problems with staff or call backs. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I WAS SEEING HER FOR MY THYROID, SHE PUT ME ON SYNTHROID WHICH WAS GIVING ME BAD SIDE EFFECTS, I TOLD HER I DON'T WANT TO BE ON IT, AND INSTEAD OF TAKING ME OFF CONTINUED TO GIVE ME SYNTHROID AND SHE ALSO HIGHER ED THE DOSAGE!!! ALSO WHEN I TRY TO GET A HOLD OF THE OFFICE THEY DON'T HAVE AN ANSWERING SERVICE ON TILL LATER IN THE DAY!!

Every time I've had an appointment with her, she is behind in seeing patients. I've waited for my appointment on average 45 minutes. Then when I couldn't wait anylong, she charged me a cancellation fee. Her staff is rude and she is aware of this fact and does nothing for the patient's issues. I was told tht someone would call me back for an appointment and never received a call. She wants her fee for"cancelling" an appointment that I was there for and she was unavailable for! Obviously her feelings are and her policies are that her time is more important than mine! Why didn't she reimburse me $30 when I waited every time I had an appointment with her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Palushock for many years and have never had a bad appointment or experience with her in any way..She is very professional, treats you with respect, and is very knowledgeable about her profession or will send you to the appropriate doctor that can help you if she can not.. I am so thankful for having her care for me all of these years.

My daughter was seeing her because her OB-GYN made a diagnosis of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and her insulin levels were a little high. First appointment she couldn't tell us anything about insulin levels and PCOS, why one affects the other. Just prescribes her medicine with follow up appt. When a follow up appointment was made, we were put off a year out - saying nothing was available. Then the morning of the appointment, I needed to cancel due to an emergency. Starting calling at 9:00am and left 3 messages about having to cancel. Never received a call back until 12:30pm (appointment scheduled for 3:00pm). I was told that they have a 24 hour cancellation policy and until I paid the $30..00 cancellation fee they would not reschedule. I explained that it was an emergency and she said there were NO exceptions. I then informed secretary I would have my daughter there but would NOT wait more than 10 minutes and would walk out not paying for the appointment or the fee. This… will be the LAST time my daughter will ever have any appointment with this doctor!!! I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. And her staff leaves alot to be desired.

it was very hard to get an appointment with this doctor, and you always have to leave a voicemail, nobody ever answers the phone. They usually do not get back to you the same day. When I had a follow up appointment, it was put at almost a year out, they said they could not get me in prior to that. I was in the hospital during that visit, having a c-section, and they considered it a no show and told me I had to go to another physician. The lack of caring is horrible. Not only that, they sent me for blood work and an US during this time and still would not see me, not call me regarding the results. I sent to another provider in the area, and he was wonderful, he is Dr. Harris. He old me they way they were treating me, is the way they treated thyroid issues 20 years ago. Also, when Dr. Palushock had my test results, she couldn't tell me exactly what the issue was, the tests were not clear, but yet didn't send me for any other test, but put me on medication. I am so glad that this… happened, because I got in with this new provider within a few days, tests completed, and follow up has been great. He answered all of my questions and made sure I knew exactly what the next steps were prior to leaving his office.
