Sharon Pendlebury

Sharon Ann Pendlebury is a licensed clinical social worker. Sharon focuses on helping her patients find self-acceptance and create positive connections as they make changes in their lives. She supports adults of all ages in moving past their internal limitations and becoming whomever they want and need to be. Sharon believes anything is possible for those who are willing to do the internal work that can bring about positive transformation. Her goal is to instill confidence that recovery is attainable. Sharon is empathetic, compassionate, and affirming in her sessions. This adds positivity and accountability to the therapeutic relationship and helps her patients reach their goals.

Sharon uses different therapeutic techniques depending on her patients needs. Her toolkit includes solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, systems-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based perspective, and family therapy techniques. Sharon has been providing therapy since …1997 and treats anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship issues, stress, trauma, womens issues, mood disorders, and more. Sharon lived in the United Kingdom until moving to the United States in 2003. In her spare time she likes to read, garden, hike with her springer spaniel, and volunteer as a CASA. Sharon enjoys working at SohoMD because of its commitment to providing effective and accessible mental health care.
