Sharon Redd, MD

Dr. Sharon Redd, MD, is Clinical Director of the Day Surgical Unit and a senior associate in perioperative anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as an assistant professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. Board certified in anesthesiology, she specializes in pediatric perioperative anesthesia and the care of children undergoing outpatient and day surgery procedures. Dr. Redd earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency training at Boston Children’s Hospital. With decades of experience in pediatric anesthesiology, she is recognized for her leadership in perioperative care coordination, patient safety, and family-centered care, as well as her contributions to improving anesthesia practices and outcomes for pediatric surgical patients.
